  1. How long was left on his contract? 18 months or so? edited bad maths out
  2. Perhaps they aren’t fit enough yet? Adapting to the system? That aspect I don’t quite understand either tbh. I just know this info came from someone close to one of the players (allegedly).
  3. Bit of info I got that came from a very reputable source, which would have probs been better off in the manager search thread… But Eustace on £5k pw here, Derby offered £15k. He was also asked by the board to play signings made by the club in summer and Jan at the expense of players already at the club. JE asked them to match Derby wages but obvs they told him to get stuffed. Bit worrying and I’d hope that VI won’t be selecting his team based on anything but what’s best to win games but who knows. Could explain why Buckley been dropped for Forshaw lately. Apparently academy grad players been told to expect less game time. This was a couple weeks ago. Anyways don’t shoot the messenger but this is info coming direct from the inside the club apparently.
  4. He won’t be coming to Ewood if that’s a metric he’s judging the job on.
  5. If Eustace’s staff took the team tonight before signing for Derby tomorrow, it would be absolutely ludicrous, even for our circus.
  6. That Roverend is a piece of work. Mentions “dire football”… you just know he was jumping for joy when Big Sam was axed and replaced by K**n, as I imagine a number of them numpties were.
  7. One bit of hope I have is that the likes of Travis can rally the troops (fans included) and galvanise an “us against the world” mentality. Heaven knows we need it.
  8. Personally I’d have Dave Challinor near the top of mine. His record is impeccable, albeit in the lower leagues.
  9. These are the sort of people that would have sold out their neighbours to the Gestapo in 1940s Germany.
  10. Reading the comments section on the LT is enough to make your blood boil. Venky’s and the club can do no wrong in the eyes of this little gang of vomit-inducing superfans that plague every article with their nonsense.
  11. We’d be better off blooding youngsters like Tyjon from the bench than giving minutes to Woodrow. At least then we are developing our own talent. Christ, this is even worse than I thought and my expectations were rock bottom to begin with.
  12. If Morton is worth £10m, we should have got upwards of £50m for Wharton
  13. I’m at the point where I’m convinced anyone defending Venky’s, Waggott, Pasha et al for this shambles of a window has an ulterior motive. There’s absolutely no justification for our inactivity throughout, as literally every team around us strengthens their ranks.
  14. I’ve been thinking of getting a lobotomy to help deal with this shite
  15. Travis is far too valuable to rest. He made such a difference vs Preston and considering the length of time between games and another week on the training ground building fitness, I’d be absolutely baffled if Eustace didn’t start him. Also our Trav is a warrior, our club captain and I imagine he’d be insistent on playing.
  16. The fact we bid way below his value (as per the other offers) leads me to believe they did this to just look like they’re doing something. Pasha/Waggott would have absolutely papped their pants if it got accepted and would have no doubt found a means of scuppering the deal, whilst making it look like they did all they could to placate the few fans who don’t see through their BS.
  17. I’ll be in Thailand at the start of March sporting my Rovers tops loud and proud, regardless of the circus running the show! If there’s anywhere with a Rovers link worth a visit, I’d like to try and visit! Then it’s onto Aus where I’ll have to find some fellow fans/supporters clubs. I was working out the logistics for if I have to fork out for a trip home for a play-off final day out but this last month of inactivity in the transfer market and poor results has almost certainly put that to bed. I just hope the heat gets turned up on Venky’s, Pasha and co cause if we ain’t investing when in the play-offs with an injury-stricken, depleted squad and coming off the back of £40m player sales banked in the last year or so, it really doesn’t bode well for the future.
  18. The way he totters around up front, I doubt he’s that warm.
  19. Can someone tell me what Vale offers? He wins no 50-50s, can’t hold the ball up, not particularly quick, not got much by way of movement. He really has a lot to prove for me at the moment.
  20. I'd say positionally so far he has looked better than Nyambe. Time will tell of course but he's yet to get caught out of position, which was quite regular with RN, he just had the pace to get back thankfully. It's clear to see as an attacking threat and general ballplayer Brittain is far superior. However, I would fancy Nyambe in a one on one defensively due to his sheer physicality.
  21. I am obviously willing Vale to do well, and admittedly haven't seen much of him (Saturday and the Celtic game particularly), but I thought Dolan did more in 5 minutes than Vale did in however long he was on on Saturday. The likeness by someone to Mark Hughes earlier is barmy. One thing I've thought from Vale when I've seen him is the ball has rarely stuck and he's been brushed off it a bit too easy. Something he'll hopefully improve on.
