  1. Apparently goalkeepers are trained to do something called a power push which requires taking one step forward to then push off the leg. They stand behind the goal to use this technique so they aren't in front of the line before the ball is kicked but can still generate the power to cover the goal
  2. Pickford , Maguire, stones, Henderson , Kane. Is that a spine I'm seeing develop to go with hunger, desire, an identity and belief. Unless they get completely embarrassed ala Brazil v Germany then from this point they deserve nothing but praise and proper welcome home. Well done lads your doing us proud
  3. Every time I saw him play for our youth team I new he was good enough for the first team. Couldn't believe he didn't break through. Wharton isn't as good but he is good enough to be getting first team chances
  4. Are they playing anyone over there like they did with Sparta Prague last season
  5. He will be fitter , faster, stronger from working with a PT. His Instagram and twiiter pictures will look better for his female fans which is no use if you can't control the ball, shoot and spend the rest of the winter on the bench. If he improves his finishing and control he will be a top player in this league. You can be as fit as you want if he can't improve on his footballing weaknesses he is no use to us going forward
  6. Bobby Reid is a terrible buy for a premiership club.
  7. May aswell chip in with a boss I had named ronald McDonald who worked in Subway and Mike hunt who was exactly that as a boss at barclays
  8. I think Ben woodburn from Liverpool would be an excellent loan signing.
  9. Martin O'Neill is not far behind him. Absolute stone wall penalty for Sweden. Can't believe that hasn't been referred
  10. I'm highly doubtful anyone is going to back you up on this
  11. a period explains the fluctuating moods on here .
  12. Small boys in the park ! Jumpers for goalposts ! What's the score 96-4 ! Marvelous
  13. That is a possibility and probably the only likely scenario. Fingers crossed.
  14. I think the Armstrong ship has sailed. I never thought we could afford him and nothing suggests otherwise. We need Chapman in and the equivalent on the other side and a nippy striker that knows where the net is. They are necessities. Any improvements or squad depth after that is welcome but the above has to be priority. Shame about Armstrong he would be ideal.
  15. He's not slow but his pace never stood out as an asset
  16. I saw him play a few times for United u23s and he always played well and stood out but never seen him play first team football. He played like a de bruyne role for Belgium. Pleased with signing. A few more of these Tony lad
  17. The first lot of fixtures have been very kind to us and we need to be picking up points from them games. We can't afford to have a mountain to climb from the off. It failed miserably last season and cost us the title. If it doesn't work this time it could prove to cost us our championship status. I just hope he's learned from last season and he knows what he is doing. In Tony we trust yet I can't turn these alarm bells off that are ringing in my ears
  18. Throwing this out there but Simon Garner. Hear me out. I've never seen him play and he was before my time however his goal scoring record speaks for itself self and after listening to many rovers fans in pubs on away days or numerous coach trips I can't help but believe he should have achieved alot more and at a higher level. Feel free to tell me I'm talking Bullock's and correct me if I'm wrong but from stories and stats tell me he under achieved. I know he made it but did he make it to the level his talent deserves
  19. How does this work then. First I've heard of it. Is it just for foreign based fans or everyone. Do you need to pay a subscription ?
  20. If Iran get this goal now VAR has absolutely killed the emotion of it
  21. I'd bet against Portugal. They haven't impressed me at all. They didn't impress me in the euros but I can't see them repeating that with Brazil and co in the tournament
  22. I believe if England do well and by that I mean surpass expections i.e semi finals and further this could have a small but positive impact on season ticket sales.
