He was very well backed up by Reid who made Murphy look invisible, watching him wherever he went. Excellent result and what was the formation we played?

I watched the game on the football first on sky which i thought gave me quite a good outlook on the game, we started well and showed good passing and tempo but this soon slowed down and thats when wh started to get into the game. bellamy and kuqi i think played well but it also seemed that sometimes kuqi would get caught up in other bits of play and get distracted also i think he seemed a bit in awe of bellamy and so didnt run with the ball much but simply tried to quickly pass, which didnt work and lost the ball a lot. we have a bad boy image which i dont like and before this game i thought was unfair but with the way that savage, mokoena and dickov conducted themselves was a times disgusting. savage taking down harewood when he started running on the wing was out of order. hopefully when nelsen gets back and bellamy gains his fitness we will be better.

I agree that if bellamy and nelsen are out then we should definatly go back to 4-5-1. I think this season we will really see the benefit of all of those boring games in which we played in this way beacuse we didnt have 2 good enough strikers. because last season we learnt how to play in this way it means that when it comes to some hard games, like newcastle away and everton away we have the knowledge and skill to just keep in the game, soak up some pressure and then pounce. although we didnt ejoy watching it last season it turn this season into a great season and not just a normal one in which we are struggling mid way up the bottom half of the table.

i cant believe how these tests keep changing, one minute we are winning then the aussies........ but what another great day today, knocking over their batting order very easily.

I dont know if anyone has mentioned it but im finding the new one day rules quite hard to grasp especially the subs rule which i think i have got a plan for so that i doesnt matter whether you win or lose the toss. England (for example) trescothick strauss vaughan pietersen solanki collingwood jones giles gough harmison jones sub:Flintoff or collingwood i think this works but its just hard to get my head around it, now if you bat first you can bring on an extra bowler in the other innings or the other way round you can replace a bowler. in a perfect world you would still have flintoff in the team at the start and then have another all rounder as sub cos with this selection you are left a bit bare if bowling first. what does everyone else think?

It is a shame that stead has left but we had no other choices left open for us, we keep him and have less money to buy better players but it would be nice to see how he does under a full season of hughes. The only thing we could have done is moved him out on loan...but then we wouldnt of got the money!!

I dont want to sound down hearted about things but i feel next season is going to be really tough. It scares me about how much we need to spend and thinking where it might be coming from. Where is the money coming from and how much realistically do we have to spend????

This may of already of been said on another topic, but last weeks MOTD gave us last place AGAIN against Brum, eventhough we had 3 goals in our game, including one from Emile Heskey! But Newcastle and Crystal Palace who played out a 0-0 draw go before us!!! Unbelievable, eventhough this isnt the first time its happened.
