  1. Who sat on the fence roversfan? There were clear posts of people disagreeing with you that Gueye was a terrible player. Had he continued not to score, continued in the bad form, you'd be telling us that we got it wrong - as you still do with Mani's £10m Buckley shout, or roverclitheroe damning indictment of Hyam I don't think you have said you got it wrong on Gueye though - only that he is looking good but you were right to call him an awful player with no technical skills at the time you did!!!
  2. Performances like that don’t happen every week, no matter who the striker is or what level they are playing at However, it was clear from early on that Gueye was capable of a performance like that. His hold up play, technique and physicality are his strengths and he showed them all yesterday The worst part of Gueyes game is his arrival in the box. He starts the move and then often isn’t where you want him to be - between the goal posts. But I sense that is being worked on, as he has been busting a gut to get in the box at times recently. He still has work to do on this He strutted around that pitch like a peacock yesterday. He was absolutely everywhere. Making tackles, winning headers, producing link up play and turns that make this sport the best in the world. He needs the other players around him to dance to his tune. It wasn’t quite the one-man show that Sammie often gave us, but it wasn’t far off Just another warning sign for not writing people off too early
  3. He has shown that technique with his feet before
  4. He’s not good enough for me. Below Dolan in the pecking order - says a lot really
  5. Can’t believe they’ve took Pryce off!! Got nervous every time he had the ball Classic Mowbray
  6. Pretty much as expected Mowbrays teams don’t like to play against structured and organised defences. The gaps will open up 2nd half. We’ve seen it all before I think Weiman and Hedges will be subbed second half and we will punish them Keep it as it is for the next 15 then make the changes
  7. Touche Better the devil you know and all that I think Lowe has made his intentions clear. This is a soak up, keep it level and hit late type of team For what it’s worth, I think we will see a rare Hedges goal today
  8. Oh I get you now. That's what I was saying Chaddy - out of them all, I won't miss Matt Gardiner I felt like our set pieces were crap under him
  9. We never win at the Hawthorns so that alone fills me with dread Do not understand the issue with the team. Same lads who have us in 6th place. If anything I'd have liked to have seen Dennis in for Weimann and given more of a free role As it stands, we have a bench of Cantwell, ACD, Dennis and Kargbo. Plenty of options Game plan is clear - keep it tight early doors and introduce some pace later on in the game. One thing Lowe will have is plenty of experience of Mowbray. Onwards & upwards
  10. Not arsed about Matt Gardiner going one bit. Felt like our set pieces were pretty disappointing considering he’s meant to be a specialist!!!
  11. For what it is worth - I don’t think it will be any of those managers except for O’Neil Karanka and Wicky aren’t Waggott appointments for me I am thinking it will be out of O’Neil or Edwards
  12. Be careful with this The Club will be able to attend now. You won’t be any of the wiser who. They’ll simply leave their camera off and listen in
  13. The statement is another master stroke by Steve Waggott He managed to produce a similar situation under JDT - instead, at that time, he brought in fan groups and senior players to almost provide a show of resistance against a "troublesome" manager This time, he has realised that won't work. Instead the tactic is to put out a statement that effectively tells Eustace to go and that the Club feel they have done everything they could possibly do to entertain his ambition and demands Waggott thinks that statement will work. I think Waggott is correct. You don't get to where that weasel has got without knowing how to "play the man". Waggott is playing the man here
  14. The foundations are crumbling for Venkys There’s no where to hide anymore. There has been that many managers and that many executives that even the most hard-faced sod will struggle to absolve them of blame With the court case still hanging over them, a CEO who has been whispering of retirement for years now and another manager leaving for concerns around the Clubs ambition - how much longer will they hang on? For everything that is happening I still have hope that their time is coming to an end
  15. I think this is a done deal. Unfortunate - we will never keep a good manager with this lot in charge
  16. I was thinking this myself earlier - the home page and the general feel of this website is far better than the Clubs for me. It’s very professional If we could get the club to agree to letting you lads run the ticketing website it would make our lives a lot easier Good work all involved 👍
  17. Dolan is awful in the press. He marks the wrong lane all the time - makes rash decisions one way or another and gives an easy way out They will always bring it out from the defence on his side. Just watch
  18. I felt like Hedges and Beck had the run of their right back for the majority of the first half. It was a link up that worked quite well
