  3. Check the date folks......
  4. It would have been the 80s when they were scrapped. The only UK force that continued them was the City of London Police. Probably related to being able to see over large crowds or something. I doubt they will still able to impose those requirements these days.
  5. The Who - The Good's Gone
  6. A terrific effort from the England team in the Women's World Cup. After losing their first 3 games and being on the very brink of elimination, they have turned things around in superb style and have just absolutely smashed the Saffers in the semi final. Bring on the Aussies in the final now.
  7. The Ronettes - Be My Baby
  8. Robert Palmer - Some Guys Have All the Luck
  9. Guns N Roses - November Rain
  10. The Small Faces - Here Comes the Nice
  11. That’s a shocker. RIP
  12. It’s not at the Police’s request. Sky are showing it

  14. I'd just become a dad for the first time earlier that week, so it was the first Rovers game of my oldest son's lifetime, and what a start!!
  15. Paul Weller - In Better Times
  16. The Jam - Tales From the River Bank
  17. Tracey Thorn - By Piccadilly Station I Sat Down and Wept
  18. I went to see her at the Camden Roundhouse about 3 years ago - an absolutely amazing woman.
  19. The Jam - To Be Someone (Didn't We Have a Nice Time)
  20. I think Liverpool will be very happy with that
  21. I went into Blackburn ASDA to buy some jelly and ice cream this morning, and for some reason they didn't have any. I blame BUREXIT 😂😉
  22. Shearer scored a milestone goal for Newcastle at Ewood in 2002 in a bizarre 5-2 win for Rovers (I think Newcastle had a man sent off very early in the game). That goal made it 2-2 on the day so it wasn't natural for Rovers fans to cheer the goal and yet all 4 sides of the ground rose and applauded him. That was the day he forgave the Rovers fans. I don't condone the booing of him after he left but equally, you don't say "I'm going nowhere" and then promptly fuck off somewhere! (Boyhood club or not). He's been back to Ewood plenty of times since. It does irk me that whenever they list great premier league players/goalscorers, they almost always show Shearer in that black and white striped monstrosity. I take consolation from the fact that, good as he was for Newcastle, Rovers fans saw the best of him in that 4 year spell.
