  1. I've heard a few stories about him from his time at Celtic. If there's one place you don't play 'Billy Big Boots', its Glasgow. However, the one I have first hand knowledge of, because I was there, is from Blackburn. His wife had a baby at the same time as my sister. He tried to have the maternity ward cleared of visitors to allow him 'peace' to visit his wife and baby. He pretty much said to the Ward Sister "Don't you know who I am?"......
  2. Paul Weller - Broken Stones
  3. Quite possibly because Sutton off the field was and probably still is a complete cockwomble.
  4. Delighted with the win but as others have said, I am slightly concerned about the manager’s mental health.
  5. A world class player in his day and a true leader. A great Rovers manager and it was lovely to see him reminiscing fondly about his time at Ewood recently. Just think of the things he did for us..... Promotion, Europe, Worthington Cup, Friedel, Tugay etc etc etc
  6. The Jam - Set the House Ablaze
  7. I was that angry and depressed yesterday even Burnley’s woes didn’t make me feel any better. I think they are relying on Leeds and Everton continuing to struggle now. That said they both have very winnable home games today.
  8. Brighton keeper somehow doesn’t get sent off against Liverpool for a high challenge a la Shumaker in the 82 World Cup, despite VAR. In fact he didn’t even get booked. Brave header to score by young Diaz.
  9. I think he’s a good manager Chaddy - he has the respect of the players and could probably attract good players to the club. I’ve been impressed by the way he’s gone about his business, and slightly surprised to be honest.
  10. I don't want to tempt fate but this game has draw written all over it.
  11. Compared to what he's had to put up with at Derby, those are idyllic working conditions.
  12. I guess its all about timing but I think the Rovers job is still one of the top jobs in the game, particularly with seemingly the ability to run the club how you see fit without too much interference. I know we moan and groan on here a lot but we are still seen as a big club. He won't come if we don't ask him, that's for sure.
  13. I don't always agree with @chaddyrovers but this is actually a very good shout. The fella has performed miracles and I think he would do well in England. I think my first choice would be Rooney though.
  14. The Kinks - Stop Your Sobbing
  15. Some more old Jam fans at the cricket ✊🏻🍻
  16. The Electric Light Orchestra - Confusion
  17. The chap on the left bears a passing resemblance to @arbitro of this parish 😂
  18. We’ll need to agree to disagree on this. He’s not on the bench anyway so it’s a moot point. His brain is that of a goal scorer whereas the lads on the pitch (and bench) tonight don’t have the instinct. Nowt to do with blowing out of his arse with respect.
  19. Tracy Chapman - Across the Lines
  20. He’ll still be sharper in the box than anyone else, that’s for sure.
  21. It was a man’s game back then.
  22. Mecky for me, but the skipper was an immense player as well.
