  1. I know his parents very well Nick and played alongside his dad (and his uncles) many times. All darreners. But technically as he was born at QPH he is from Blackburn.
  2. While they obviously had a difficult game today, you have to say it’s really starting to look difficult for our neighbours to recover from this position. And for all those who say “They’ll be too strong for us/they will walk the championship next season” etc. I’m not so sure about that. Jelly and ice cream in April or May, I would say 😂✊🏻💙🤍
  3. Yeah the Modern World album is actually pretty good (apart from Bruce’s contribution!). Very important stepping stone into All Mod Cons.
  4. The Supremes - Stone Love
  5. Mercer has learned his lesson, but will Tony?
  6. My great uncle Albert Walmsley would be another (played in I think the 1920s) and a former works team mate of mine Pete Devine played a few first team games for the Rovers as well.
  7. My musical tastes are eclectic and in truth I rarely play The Jam these days, I just occasionally take a notion for a particular album.
  8. Mine will be culled from these
  9. Everything But the Girl - Me and Bobby D
  10. Bah late winner for Boscombe. In terms of the play off places not a bad day for us (as long as we get summat on Monday)
  11. Bournemouth and Boscombe have equalised but Forest and QPR losing
  12. Simon and Garfunkel - Mrs Robinson
  13. Donkey lashers one up against Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic
  14. Because it is utterly shit.
  15. He just can't bloody help himself Tony.
  16. There were two separate minutes' silence. One for VE Day and one for Noel Brotherston, who had tragically died a few days earlier. You could hear a pin drop during both of them, which when you consider the cauldron the atmosphere was that night, was incredible, and a testament to the 30,000 in attendance. I've always respected the Geordies since that night.
  17. The Black Pumas - OCT 33
  18. Paul Weller - Back In the Fire Nice use of the word 'wanker' in the lyrics....
  19. Dion and the Belmonts - A Teenager In Love
  20. I seem to recall that it was indeed Bill Fox. Franz Carr was selected as an apprentice at Ewood ahead of my younger brother, Rovers only took one or two on every year at that time and they could only afford one that season. Franz’s dad was a bit pushier than mine! (joking apart Franz was an exceptional player at 16 and even our kid understood why he’d been selected).
  21. Michael Jackson - Dirty Diana
  22. The Jam - Beat Surrender
