  1. The Jam - Town Called Malice
  2. Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Davy's On the Road Again
  3. Paul Weller - Fly On the Wall Another of his very many brilliant B-sides
  4. I agree with you Stuart in respect of the fairness angle, in respect of the competition and the pricing of behind closed door events etc; but I wouldn't underestimate the mental health benefits football and other sports bring to people, even in its 'unfair' form. We all get frustrated when Rovers lose or play badly, but I'd rather pay my £10 and watch it regardless of whether we win, lose or draw, than have to endure month after month of desolation, depression and ennui. with little or no end to it in sight.
  5. The Clash - White Man In Hammersmith Palais
  6. The Jam - I've Changed My Address
  7. Me too. He sounds just the ticket actually.
  8. Bobby Ball dying the day after it was announced that a cop called Bolok was killed by a cock in the Phillipines (see link!) has a certain synergy actually https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-54715327
  9. Fabulous news mate - fingers crossed that everything goes well.
  10. The Beatles - She Said She Said
  11. Open goal time The Jam - Down In The Tube Station At Midnight
  12. I suppose in terms of a full debut absolutely but I dare say some have come on for their debut as a sub to face a penalty as their first action after the 1st choice keeper has been red carded?
  13. Mine worked okay as usual but that co-commentator is bloody annoying. At the final whistle last night he said something like "If we'd kept a clean sheet we would have won 2-0, these are the fine margins in football" A four-goal fine margin, whatever next?
  14. Curtis Mayfield - Make Me Believe In You (also covered brilliantly by both Brenda Holloway and Patti Jo)
  15. Humble Pie - Natural Born Bugie
  16. Jay & The Techniques - Apple, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie.
  17. Yeah that's what I would have expected to see, particularly given Reading's relatively poor midweek away record.
  18. The Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't Have)?
  19. I understand the point you're making Matt and you're not the only one making it, but I think this is a perception rather than a reality. No away midweek wins for that long? Surely that includes defeats at Ewood Park then? Its only a few weeks since we smacked 4 past them at Ewood so the winless run wasn't ended then was it, and by any yardstick we have improved significantly since that game, both going forward (when did we last win 5-0, and 0-4, 0-4 in such a short space of time, regardless of how 'weak' the opposition?) and defensively (the only league goal we have conceded at Ewood this season was a last-minute deflected effort). I'm as confident as I can be going into tonight's game, and hopefully the players will also be brimming with confidence.
  20. Minnie Riperton - Loving You
  21. Cat Stevens - First Cut Is The Deepest (written for PP Arnold)
  22. Yeah I know, I don't think anyone claimed LFC produced him, but they produced all the ones I listed as comparators.
  23. One of my mates has been a season ticket holder at Anfield for 45 years and he also goes to reserve and academy games whenever he can, especially now he's retired. He told me when we first signed this lad on loan that he is the best teenager he's ever seen. When you think of some of the young players LFC have produced in the past 25 years that is some praise indeed. Better than Owen, Fowler, Gerrard, Carragher etc etc "Look after him" was his plea!
  24. He did. He said something like "They don't have a crowd at Blackburn, they have a jury"
