  1. The Vapors - Waiting For the Weekend
  2. The Style Council - Speak Like a Child
  3. RIP Denise Johnson - who has passed away suddenly at the age of 56. She sang on many massive records (Primal Scream, New Order, A Certain Ratio etc etc etc)
  4. Paul Weller - 7 & 3 Is the Striker’s Name
  5. Eddie Holman - Hey There Lonely Girl
  6. We took 1 point from four games against those first two teams this season. Hardly significant really. There's no real pattern to who Rovers might gain or lose points against as far as I can see, and it often depends which version of Rovers turns up and less about how the opposition plays.
  7. Albert King - Cross Cut Saw
  8. Blur - Music is My Radar (Let's try and get to 667 asap!)
  9. The Tremeloes - Silence is Golden
  10. I understand that we are trying to fix up a friendly with Celtic, the sticking point is that the 20/21 SPFL season starts on Saturday. I doubt the Celtic skipper would play in it if it comes off but it would be good to see young Travis have an hour or so up against Scott Brown.
  11. Big Sound Authority - My Hell Shaped Room
  12. Bettye Swann - Make Me Yours (A fabulous song to put on just before you go for a night out)
  13. The jocks always used to raise their game in that sort of international - Fergie was always up for them (Scott Brown is similar in that respect) but he used to coast through some domestic games in his first spell at Rangers and that's where he got found out a bit when he first came to us - you never got the chance to do that in the big boys league at that time so he had to be on tip-top form every week.
  14. John Martyn - Somewhere Over the Rainbow
  15. He made the game look very easy when he was at Rangers - a sign of class, especially in the frenetic old firm games. We only ever saw glimpses of that, perhaps because he was up against better players than he was used to and it took him a while to get used to that. Sadly, just when he was starting to look like the Rangers version of Barry Ferguson he got that shockingly bad injury at Newcastle. One that got away as far as Rovers are concerned.
  16. Yes, a 'ned' is the Scottish equivalent of a 'chav'.
  17. He had other assets too. He wasn’t called ‘Stallion’ for nothing....
  18. @arbitro Tony I've just realised that you didn't tell the fantastic 'season ticket in the pocket' story (unless I'd switched off when you told it). Are you saving that one for the after dinner circuit ?
  19. You must have had a mental Bloch mate.
  20. I’ve had a few of them as bosses over the years
  21. You can slide an awfully long way on bullshit, that's for sure.
