  1. The Stranglers - Hanging Around
  2. I think that's the very point I was trying to make mate - based on getting rid of Sam rather than any Kean qualities, whereas Dean Smith's 'style of play' is very much a known quantity. I do see the similarities in fans' views on the outgoing managers in both examples, it was the mention of the Scottish crook that made me question the comparison. Nobody deserves to be compared with that scrote.
  3. Not sure this analogy stacks up really - unlike Dean Smith, Kean had absolutely no track record so therefore no style of play to speak of when he got the manager's gig, so I'm not sure on what basis his appointment was being welcomed (other than "he's not Allardyce").
  4. Otis Redding and Carla Thomas - Tramp
  5. Joe Jackson - Is She Really Going Out With Him?
  6. The old boy resurrected Private Hell last week mate. Sound Affects is my favourite Jam album, but the two that preceded it were sublime as well. Happy days!
  7. The Jam - Little Boy Soldiers. Still gives me the goosebumps this one, 40 years later.
  8. Marvin Gaye - Got to Give It Up
  9. Electric Light Orchestra - Four Little Diamonds
  10. The Electric Light Orchestra - Turn to Stone
  11. Bob Marley and the Wailers - Mister Brown
  12. The Beat - Doors of Your Heart
  13. Ocean Colour Scene - The Day We Caught The Train
  14. The Beautiful South - Just Checking
  15. The Jam - Burning Sky Quite how a 21 year old could write this song is beyond me.
  16. It is. That's why Ramprakash is not a person he should be working with. Hugely talented player but with fragile belief in himself at the highest (e.g. test) level. Agree that Cook would be a good mentor.
  17. There you go, that explains his dip in form then.
  18. John Martyn - Stormbringer
  19. Tony Burke - Sounds of Love and Violence
  20. Hue and Cry - Looking Out for Linda
  21. The Blow Monkeys - Celebrate (The Day After You)
  22. Very generous of you Tony to give all those books away. Isn’t it time you did your own? ? Patty has been working on his for quite some time now, I don’t know whether it will ever see the light of day tbh.
  23. Sounds like a Burnley family get-together.
