  1. Very good use of VAR in this game - a Brazil penalty overturned because of a Neymar dive.
  2. Stranger things have happened - I still have a sneaky feeling the Argies will qualify somehow. Mind you, I predicted a lot of goals in this Brazil game, so what do I know?
  3. Just the 600 for Lancs to win then? We haven't scored that in our first six matches have we, let alone in one innings!?
  4. Going back to the game last night, did anybody else think the bookies had got it woefully wrong with the pre-match odds?
  5. I fancy Brazil to score a few against Costa Rica if they can get an earlyish goal. Costa Rica looked incredibly poor recently against England's second eleven.
  6. Richard Hawley - Love of My Life
  7. I would expect Burnley to win fairly comfortably over the two legs. The Dons might give them a run for their money at Pittodrie though.
  8. Squeeze - Up The Junction
  9. Elvis Costello and the Attractions - I Can't Stand Up For Falling Down
  10. Decent first session matt83, Worcs are five down so far.
  11. Sham 69 - Angels With Dirty Faces
  12. Entertaining game between Colombia and Japan. Colombia down to 10 men and 1-0 down after 3 minutes have just equalized on 40 mins with a really clever free kick that was drilled under a jumping wall.
  13. The Style Council - Have You Ever Had it Blue?
  14. Simon and Garfunkel - The Only Living Boy in New York
  15. I like to think I have a sense of humour but it was a bit of an odd thing to say for a guy who is being paid to provide analysis of incidents in the game . I would have docked his fee.
  16. Paul Weller - Shadow of the Sun or 5th Season; both off the same album, take your pick
  17. Oh well, in your world this no doubt means that Scotland have technically qualified for the World Cup.
  18. Tracy Chapman - Talkin Bout a Revolution
  19. Arthur Conley - Sweet Soul Music
  20. Bettye Swann - Today I Started Loving You Again
  21. Very sensible piece of business, and from a supporter point of view, extremely heartening. In Tony we trust!
  22. Crowded House - Fall at Your Feet
  23. The Jam - Time for Truth Weller got some stick for this one - an attack on Jim Callaghan’s Labour government - but to be fair he was barely 18 when he wrote it.
