  12. I don't remember the ones you are referring to. I have a vague memory of him scoring for Fulham against us but don't recall his celebration being anything untoward. I personally have no problem with players celebrating goals against their former clubs. You should celebrate after scoring. I don't understand this business of simply walking back to your own half after scoring a goal. The only time I could ever understand that was when The Lawman back heeled that one in to send Man United to the Second Division, but that was an extremely unusual set of circumstances. Although I realise it wasn't a former club, the sentiment was still the same when Shearer celebrated the one he got for us against his boyhood heroes at St James Park after he had come back from his first bad injury in 1993, and Chris Sutton did likewise when he scored for Celtic at Ewood.
  13. Queen of the Hours - The Electric Light Orchestra
  14. Apart from the other stuff people have highlighted, a couple of other things jumped out at me from that Daily Record (which is a horrible rag) article. Firstly, did I read correctly that his club has THE ONLY 19 PROFESSIONALS in the country??!! No wonder they won the fecking ten club league then. My missus would probably be able to supervise that championship campaign! How on earth did they ever lose a game? Secondly....."Portuguese attacker Paulo Sergio provided the star quality with 13 goals and 17 assists". Now there's a surprise eh?
  15. Yes it was the lad who scored against Wigan, a similar goal today by all accounts
  16. 1-1 after 78 minutes
  17. Celtic v Rangers youth games regularly pull in five figure crowds (especially while their first teams rarely meet). If they can do so, it makes a mockery of Lancashire Constabulary's stance. The nanny state at its very worst.
  18. How dare you come on here and talk sense! Sunday was a fine example of what you are talking about. If we'd kept it tight for the first 20-30 minutes, we probably would have won that game, and by a couple of goals too. Agreed. I actually do think there are 5 or 6 worse teams than us in this league, but they will garner more points than us because of their organisation and tenacity. What I wouldn't give for a modern day Howard Kendall!
  19. England win the toss and bowl first. I somehow think the Aussies might make a better fist of their first innings this time, though we live in hope!
  20. I see Liam Livingstone got glassed in a pub fight after the T20 quarter final. Thankfully it looks like he will be ok. Bloody cowardly thing to do that, some right Kents down there http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-33970941
  21. I think the likelihood of us being in a relegation fight increased on the basis of the fringe players' performance last night, because injuries and suspensions mean that most of them will get plenty of games *shudders*. If Rhodes leaves during this window I think that would be the straw that broke the camel's back, because you simply cannot concede 2 a game without him in the side to bail us out, and Gaz seems unable to rectify the leakage. It doesn't look great, but its amazing what a couple of victories can do. Let's start in Huddersfield on Saturday please!
  22. England finally broke through (4 times!), game could be over tonight.
  23. Equalled the quickest test five-for apparently. 19 balls
