The Trust has stated very clearly to SW that one of our short term aims in these meetings with the club is to open up a direct communication with the owners, preferably of a positive nature. It beggars belief that they have not shown face or spoken directly to their 'customers' for years.

Most Famous Blackburn Lad Ever?
oldjamfan1 replied to Exiled in Toronto's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
I have worked on some of the toughest social housing estates in the UK, including a couple in Glasgow and North Lanarkshire that are like the Wild West. Imagine Shameless on steroids. Highercroft wasn’t even the roughest estate in Blackburn when I worked there. It just about made the top three, along with Green Lane and Shad. Edited to add: And as is always the case, there were nuances and some very good decent people within each estate - I’m talking about the extremes. There was a street on Green Lane estate called Railton Avenue (I think) that I could write a book about - real tough people. -

In case people didn’t see it on the ‘plot thickens’ thread, We Are THE Rovers sent this to SW yesterday: Dear Steve, The Blackburn Rovers Supporters Trust ‘We Are THE Rovers’ are most concerned at the latest Indian Government Enforcement Directorate (ED) action against the owners of our Club. We understand the investigation relates to “illegal remittances made by the company since 2010, till date, to its wholly owned subsidiary named Venky’s London Limited, Cardiff, UK.” The ED appears to directly implicate transactions relating to Blackburn Rovers. Clearly this is of major concern to our Supporters Trust. At the very least we would like to see a public statement from the Club as to any implications for Blackburn Rovers; we do however recognise you will want to pass any statement before the Club owners. Our next Trust meeting is not with yourselves until the 14th November, this is over one month away. If at all possible we would like the opportunity of an earlier meeting to discuss the single issue of the serious enforcement action against the owners, their future commitment to our Club and day-to-day funding. Can this please be arranged with some urgency even if it via Zoom? Regards, The We Are The Rovers Board

To be fair they’ve produced plenty of good athletes, boxers and tennis players over the years.

The older guy wasn’t very magnanimous was he? At least twice he said “Blackburn weren’t very good”. Suck it up you miserable old cunt. -

We were in a Rovers Trust meeting with the club moments after they completed this deal and they were genuinely really excited by it. Looks like they were right and yes, they should be given credit where it is due for it, for certain 💙🤍 -

Sammie and Siggy scoring for fun at the minute and I just sense that if Ennis can finally get some games he will chip in with a good few as well. -
Same Tyrone. It was a bit too graphic for me tbh.
