  1. Good work lol. He scored 'that' goal, didn't he...
  2. I played in a five-a-side game with Peter Osgood when he was in his late 40s and he was still a fucking animal even then.
  3. Yeah I agree which is why I was careful to caviat what I heard with a lack of knowledge of just how 'on the database' that person actually was (e.g. it could be a one-off ticket purchase 6 years ago which means they could well be a Dingle, or multiple purchases prior to that and covid or another reason has kept them away, in which case they are clearly a Rovers fan and as such it would be harsh to turn them down imho.)
  4. I clearly heard the lass on the other phone line saying to the person on the other end "Its been 6 years since you bought a ticket for a Rovers game, why do you suddenly want to go to the Burnley game?" and she actually wouldn't sell to them. Now it may well be that the person had only ever bought for one game, years ago, which would probably make it fair enough to refuse, but it just shows that at least there's some sort of vetting going on. If anyone who is a regular Rovers attendee sells to a tout then hell mend them when they get banned from Ewood for doing so. People are a lot more traceable than they were 20 years ago (against City).
  5. I managed to get my three tickets for the Dingles game this morning, but I had to jump through a good few hoops to do so. I can't see many Burnley fans managing to get into the home seats tbh.

  9. Ha ha brilliant Tony 🍻
  10. I was never blessed with pace as @arbitro will confirm, so walking football came naturally to me and there is a particular skill to it, eg the timing/weighting of passing etc is quite different. But anyone with football intelligence should be pretty good at it. In my area it is REALLY competitive, to say the least!
  11. Very few artists or bands can lay claim to changing the face of music but the Pistols certainly belong in that bracket. I was never a huge fan of them but can appreciate the influence they had - The Jam were a plodding pub rock band until the 17 year old Weller went to see the Pistols in Dunstable. Same goes for the (Guildford) Stranglers. Joe Strummer supported the Pistols with his then band The 101ers and knew immediately that they had to up their game so he left them and formed The Clash.
  12. Yeah cricket doesn’t help itself sometimes does it? I suppose they would argue that the heavens could open during the tea interval and for the rest of the game… Be a good game for Lancashire to win today, to say the least!
  13. He co-owned one in Darwen as well on the junction of Union Street and Duckworth Street.
  14. There was a pretty poor one in the old firm game as well, though almost worth it to listen to Ally McCoist’s withering comments about the officials involved 😂
  15. My brother (who was a traffic cop at the time) was first on the scene after the accident. Without going into too much detail Mick passed away in the firm knowledge that he was much loved by Rovers fans. 😢
  16. Tony Christie - Avenues and Alleyways
  17. The Jam - Music For the Last Couple
  18. PP Arnold - First Cut Is the Deepest
  19. Martha and the Muffins - Echo Beach
  20. So JDT isn’t picking him/putting him on as a sub because it would make his own judgement look bad in the eyes of the fans? You did say it was a guess but it’s a pretty wild one! Why would JDT do anything that he didn’t think was in the interests of winning football matches, which includes making unpopular decisions (plenty of other examples this season as well as A Wharton). I'm not saying I agree with Adam’s exclusion but I don’t think it’s anything other than JDT allowing him time to develop, both physically and it would seem emotionally too.
  21. The Beach Boys - Barbara-Ann
  22. Bow Wow Wow - Go Wild In the Country
  23. America - Horse With No Name
  24. The Boomtown Rats - Like Clockwork
