  1. Ricki Lee Jones - Chuck E's In Love
  2. Yes, I agree with this. Travis is a bit of a problem at the minute. He's ponderous in possession, his passing isn't great and he gives away a lot of possession via silly free kicks. I appreciate that he can't play every game but Adam Wharton has to be the answer here. Him and Morton looked like a decent combination against the Donkey Lashers.
  3. Pretty sure in Darwen we used to say 'cob it'.
  4. The Kinks - Last of the Steam Powered Trains
  5. Prefab Sprout - Hey Manhattan
  6. A Wigan Casino memory: Maxine Nightingale - Right Back Where We Started From
  7. That's the point chaddy, it shouldn't be. How could Strauss carry out a proper review of cricket with one arm tied behind his back?
  8. The Beatles - This Boy
  9. I think it’s the accent they’ve done it in that makes it really funny. They haven’t just done an impersonation of his voice.
  10. Landscape - Einstein a Go Go
  11. Yeah the old boy seemed to know everything about any sport. I vaguely remember them also selling model aircraft kits and stuff like that. Cubs and scouts uniforms too? But never music to my knowledge. Micky Heaton and I want to say Mike? Harrison opened up a rival sports shop at the top of Union Street, literally 75 yards away from County Sports, in the late 70s/early 80s, but they didn’t last that long. I wish I could remember the couple’s names who owned County Sports, they were lovely.
  12. I didn’t know County Sports sold records!? There was always a record shop a couple of doors down from him in my lifetime.
  13. The Libertines - Can’t Stand Me Now
  14. I can see one slight flaw in your team there mate 😉
  15. Roy Orbison - Only the Lonely
  16. I have a feeling that was Sparky’s first game as manager. Or perhaps first home game as manager. 0-4 and you are spot on about Tugay that day.
  17. He gave Rover (s) the lead.
  18. The Jam - Here Comes the Weekend
  19. The Who - I’m a Man
  20. King - Love and Pride
  21. Yorkshire relegated after an exciting finish in the Warks v Hants game. A ‘9 fer’ for Liam Norwell. Take a bow son 🐑🐏🐑🐏🐑🐏
  22. Heh heh. I know what you mean Tyrone but I played alongside both Pete and Patty in different sides who happen to be next to each other in the photo. They look about the same height and I’m definitely taller than Patty but never thought that about Pete. Two great lads.
  23. Bloody hell Tony I played alongside Pete often enough ha. I thought he was taller than that though but yeah it does look like him on closer inspection.
  24. I wouldn’t have recognised Windy at all Matty, well spotted. Just one to go now (of course, the other fella might not be an ex Rover)
