  1. I've just gone to a pub with no TV. Since I have had a good night's sleep so I don't fancy watching the game.
  2. Rice chugs along for England but doesn't shine in the team. Mainoo tried to run at players and get things going at least. I'd drop Saka, Kane, Walker, Foden and possibly Rice. Palmer, Toney, TAA, Eze and Wharton in. That's if we have to play the same formation.
  3. God England are awful, and the crowd are letting them know. Southgate is an absolute donkey manager. My parents have a 13 year old dog, who is slow and arthritic who shows more energy than the English players.
  4. He's obviously been on those funny mushrooms since retiring. He wasn't that good when he was here either.
  5. This is probably why I'm not bothered about the Euros, waiting for the rugby championship to start again. We'll bore everyone to death.
  6. As you all probably know I live in Coventry, and when I told a friend Waggott was in charge, he gave me a look to say "oh god, that nobhead". He is despised by City fans.
  7. Problem is that most English managers are pretty shit. Howe, Potter and O'Neil have done ok for middling Premier League teams, but have won nowt. Beyond those three we have no-one. Playing 'the right way' is not enough, and only picking an English manager forever will lead to failure.
  8. Gallagher is just like Henderson or Savage. Lots of energy and movement but no real creative spark. At least, that's how he seems for England.
  9. I can see them just closing the club down instead of selling it. Then again I am a pessimist when it comes to Rovers. If the Rao rats did sell up, I'm expecting some Chinese professional gambler who invests in Crypto currency and NFTs to turn up with that Bassini clown.
  10. If only it was true, and he did the same thing as he did here. I doubt any manager will have him as low as and U-10s 'BBC coach' as Big Sam would have let everyone know how he got ousted by Kean. No one trusts him, otherwise he'd have been a coach somewhere in the UK.
  11. Southgate has done a lot better than I expected, but he lacks that something winners like Ferguson, Ancelloti or Pep have. And other managers have sussed him out. They know he is risk averse and lacking in tactical nous.
  12. Jose Mourinho is now manager of Fenebache. I've read a few things about the season gone, and Turkish football is bonkers.
  13. Pardew would be 'better' than Lampard, as in more amusing. Is Alan Curbishley still around? Or Phil Brown?
  14. He was Pep's assistant apparently. So he must be as good as him 🙄.
  15. If they wanted a coach with a promotion under his belt, there's one outstanding candidate-Owen Coyle.
  16. Not sure Robins would leave a club that loves him, and has had such a long history of working for, for a team that might be in a state of flux (depending on finances and squad retention). Whilst Burnley could go straight back up, I can imagine a new manager being expected to dominate the division. It would depend on whether Mark Robins is happy with a play off push and being in a stable job, or really wants to be a Premier League manager for 1 season and then being binned if Burnley are relegated again.
  17. One relegation spot sorted then.
  18. Come on Fat Frank, now's your chance to prove everyone wrong.
  19. They'll still bum us next season sadly.
  20. Man City are good to watch when they're on form, but I have no love for them. Nondescript new stadium, a new generation of spoiled fans who have no idea about the time they were in League 1 or a really mediocre Premier League team in the 1990s....... Just a bit soulless, as some sports washers do their thing.
