  1. Put me down as a don't care'. Wrong time of the year, being held in a non entity country that owns slaves and has no sporting history and we will probably go out in the first knock out round.
  2. France, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa are better in Union (in the men's game).
  3. Maybe he was inspired by the Daily Star's lettuce.
  4. Crowd trouble at Sunderland vs. Burnley. Missiles being thrown from the top tier to the bottom tier in one of the stands according to the BBC. I don't know whose fans are misbehaving.
  5. I still have a PS 2, and changed the Birmingham City kit on ISS Pro soccer 5 to have a shirt sponsor that says BIG CLUB. I'll have to check, but I don't think they actually won anything.
  6. At least we can be a bit more hopeful about not tanking in the new year.
  7. We won on Saturday, so we will lose this one.
  8. BBC say it's a Gallagher goal, but if it's Lenihan then hahaha.
  9. My prediction is it won't be a draw, that's all I can be sure of.
  10. We lost, so I'm guessing JDT is now as bad as Coyle, until we next win. Then he will be good again. Thing is, if he was to be sacked now, who will step in and suddenly be brilliant?
  11. Whichever team is the comedy act that season, bottom of the league, with 3 points by December, they will get a result against us.
  12. Yes, Virgil has been very average this season, and nowhere near his all dominating best.
  13. The old Wembley stadium was a worn out crap pile by then, with terrible transport links if you're coming from outside London. I remember when people were getting all misty eyed about the Twin Towers (no not those towers) and all that when t was being knocked down. I was happy to see it demolished, and thought the new stadium should have been in the Midlands, but the over priced new Wembley is good.
  14. The worst Rovers games I had been to were the 5-0 loss to Coventry in the 1995/96 season, a dull 0-0 draw also against Coventry (I think we were in a yellow kit with CIS as the sponsor), and the godawful loss in the Charity Shield in 1995.
  15. Trent Alexander-Arnold has been sussed out big time. The better teams know that if he's putting in a cross, you can use the left flank to counter attack all the time. On current form it's like having Stuart Ripley at right back. Liverpool need a big rebuild this summer, with quite a few players shipped out, and replacements brought in. If Salah is kept out so far to the right, he's not effective, and a lot of the players like Oxlade-Chamberlain, Henderson and Keita are replaceable. New faces and ideas are needed.
  16. It's all getting a bit silly now, with the queues, the arrests, Morrison's silencing the tills etc. As for cancelling operations on the day of the funeral, that's disgusting. It shows how we are all little more than street rats in the eyes of the leaders of the country, and that if we die, as my uncle did from asbestosis a month ago, it does not matter. As a country we've gone mental, just because a really old woman died. That's the thing about hereditary rule, someone else is there to assume the role by virtue of birth. Don't worry.
  17. Got tickets for Rammstein again. I wanted to go to Berlin, as I once visited when I was 8 (and Germany was divided. That didn't work out so I ended up with a ticket to Lisbon and the real Stadium of Light. I've not been to Portugal before, and not been abroad since 2017 so this will be fun.
  18. You're right with all the other features, but I have always gone to festivals for music and never went to The Fringe at Edinburgh for example. And you sound way more sociable and gregarious than me. And I also hate seeing all those effing flags when the headline act is on as I feel sorry for those at the back of the crowd.
  19. I'd never go to Glastonbury for the simple fact it's so popular tickets are sold when no-one is named as appearing on stage. I would not want to pay however much it is, and then have a bill made up of the likes of Starship, Ed Sheeran, some drill rap guy with a weird name and The Venga Boys.
  20. I don't want him to get abuse, or boos at that match even though I was not a fan after the consecutive death spirals in the new year. He's nowhere near as bad as Kean (who deserves rotten fruit thrown at him on sight) or Coyle.
  21. Didn't see the game, o it was great to see that compilation. He looks very calm and unflustered by people closing in on him when he has the ball.
  22. It's probably this time next year we'll really see the squad take shape. There could have been more signings or planning if we didn't fanny about so much in hiring the current duo to lead us.
  23. Forest want to emulate Birmingham City when Barry Fry was manager, he had a squad of about 50, and Steve Claridge once said training sessions were like a scene from Zulu withall the extras.
  24. There was a French player, possibly signed by Big Sam, who I don't remember ever getting a game. Goulon I think.
  25. For once, I might be looking at deadline day with interest, instead of dread and despondency. Whilst I'd love Brereton-Diaz to sign a 5 year contract, and go on and score 25 more goals, if he goes I have a little bit more confidence that someone half decent may come in rather than a modern day Chris Brown, or some useless 19 year old who can't on a Premier LeagueU-21 subs bench.
