  1. I agree Chaddy. Though I can't go up there for a game, I am a season ticket holder at Coventry Rugby, and going into the city centre will feel strange. With the football, I am also not that bothered about it starting as I feel it'll be more of the same. A few good results to make you hope, then 2 months of rubbish results.
  2. Basil will probably disappear into the vortex like a few players in the past like Goulon. We need effing defenders Mowbray!

  4. As things stand, I would say we'll finish about 13th-17th. Not quite bad enough to worry about relegation but nowhere near the play offs. A few of the youngsters will look good, but the usual suspects will let us down. Kaminski will have a fair amount of work to show how good he is.
  5. It's bloody awful. It's like a dodgy 90s Scotland away kit, or some League 2 team's kit when the designer goes a bit experimental.
  6. This is effing pathetic as things stand. We're about to start the season with a 3rd rate defence, an area that has not been worked on for at least 2 seasons. Tosin and Cunningham were quick fixes that worked but have gone back to their clubs leaving us with no planning about what happens next. Sure, names have been mentioned, like Schmidt, Kipre, maybe even Hanley but we can all sit around and mention names here. Apart from Kipre there has been no action to solve issues that have not been resolved for some time.
  7. Another effing midfielder?
  8. I'm bracing myself for not getting any more players in, and a season of wondering if we'll get dragged into the relegation battle. Even Coventry City have been more decisive in their transfer dealings, and have sought to improve their squad. So far we've been sitting around doing nothing or so it seems. For all we fans know, Venky's, Waggott and Mowbray have only just sorted out a budget and are vaguely considering targets.
  9. For our sake, Kipre needs to stop messing around and sign for either club. If it's West Brom, then fine we can all understand that, but just get on with it. If his agent is playing games, then Cedric should tell him to stop it. Terms have been offered by both clubs, now decide.
  10. The pitch will be like those you see on The Big match revisited, all either mud or sand.
  11. I hope so Phil, but I'm never confident that the club has more than one player in their sights at any one time.
  12. We need to look at other transfers ASAP, starting with a left back. We can't have everything on pause whilst Kipre is deciding which club to go to, especially when the rival club is a team freshly promoted to the Premier League and likely to win that race.
  13. I hope it isn't another midfielder. We've needed a CB and LB for ages now, and everyone can see it.
  14. True. Having a massive hole there is lethal, but if Kipre and Kaminski are good, then hopefully there will be some resolve and fewer goals conceded.
  15. Thanks Riversider28 and Ewood Ace. With all the Covid nonsense I lost my bearings about the international calandar.
  16. Assuming Kipre is the signing, I hope there's time and money to sort out the left back position, even if it's a loan of a decent solid player at this level.
  17. Oh dear. Whilst he was a bit rubbish last season, I'd not want that to happen to him. Players like Danny Murphy or Bradley Orr though.....
  18. J R-C scores. I always like it when a youth product does well.
  19. Black Panther was a huge film, especially for the SJW types who made a big thing about almost all the cast and crew were black. It was even nominated for some Oscars, which is really rare for a superhero blockbuster. If you take the whole marketing campaign based on racial politics out of it, BP is like all the other Marvel films but that's not really a bad formula to follow.
  20. Add me to the club who thought Dolan looked good. There was one moment when he should have had a shot instead of doing so many dummies and faints in the box, but he looked dangerous and full of intent. And effing fast.
  21. What I will say i support of Batty and England is that he stepped up and tried to take a penalty in the 1998 world cup.I was probably still recovering from sitting there trying to kill Sepiroth at the end of Final Fantasy 7 in time to watch the Denmark vs. Nigeria game, but I don't remember if any more free scoring players chickened out. The way Sherwood left had a sour taste though.
  22. Is it the Ashes this winter? Or is it next winter?
  23. Lyons wasn't bad either. We need a better left back as Elliot and Bell were being ruined by Burns all game.
  24. He did well for us, and that's all that matters. I'd like him to do well, even if I'm not a fan of Sunderland.
  25. Chapman looked ok going forward but our defence needs sorting out. Both goalies fancied themselves as a Heuer/Edison sweeper keeper but sometimes rushed out and played the short passes at the wrong time. And the central defence lacked that leader and organiser who can just get the ball away from the penalty area.
