Crap defence again. No idea why Cunningham is not on the bench at least. Cautious Tony strikes again.

The debt might be some sort of tax dodge in India. "Oh I am sorry, we cannot pay the £300m income/corporate tax, we have this foreign asset that is £180m in debt and we have to pay millions to keep it going." As you can guess I'm not an expert in tax laws, but I can imagine there is some use in keeping Rovers despite the cost.

I saw that was in the pipeline but I didn't see it announced. Thanks for the info. -
Summer Transfer Window 2019

Not been able to keep up as I've been at work until 2am, but has there been no one coming in, but Mulgrew has gone to Wigan and Magloire is out on loan? If that's the case, this has been dire, and the defence is even weaker. -
Summer Transfer Window 2019

I hope not. Never fulfilled his potential and was happy to shaft us before. -
I'm usually a pessimist. With regards to earlier cricket comments it has been the pattern for years that when England look like they are about to thump a team with the ball Broad starts thinking he can do a Mitch Johnson and hit tail ender's in the face regardless of conditions, line and length goes to pot and the last 3 wickets add 80+ runs. England rarely have that ruthless, brutal streak that wants to humiliate opponents. They lost their way and bowed down to Smith and whichever bowlers stuck around.
-
As long as we don't lose an early wicket or poo ourselves at any hint of Lyon spinning the ball we should have enough to draw. A victory would surely be beyond England. Australia would have to bowl like complete idiots to have any chance of that happening.

The England game is petering out. Smith seems to be invincible, and we're waiting for the declaration. I hope we can bat out for a draw and not get skittled tomorrow.

Tony Mowbray Discussion

It isn't one game. It is about having all summer to sort out the defensive problems, doing little or nothing and then playing teacher's pet players again. -
Tony Mowbray Discussion
Norbert Rassragr replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Seconded. Thanks for cleaning up after Coyle Tony, but it is clear you are not the right person to progress higher than about 14th in the table. -
Mowbray has assembled a half decent squad (even if the defence is iffy) but has no clue how to use them. Get rid, and bring in a decent manager. Wagner or even Warburton could do a better job. He has not learned anything after that awful run last season and is way too loyal to older players who've been here a while.
-
And I wouldn't blame him. A very predictable line up barring Gallagher. At least Travis is starting I suppose.
-
Does that mean he may be in for the second innings? Or is he ruled out because he went off? I seem to have cursed the innings by saying how I appreciated the gritty performance as 4 quick wickets went down.

Other Football League 2018/19

Well it's not like the real money is coming from a billionaire from Singapore is it?.......... I'm happy I don't have sky as it'll all be about Salford without mentioning the massive financially incestuous relationship with Neville, Skybet and so on. I expect a load of loans from Valencia, also owned by Peter Lim if Salford go up the divisions. As for Bury, there is obviously a plan from the EFL to make them go bust and use them as a warning to others about finance, whilst helping Bolton in any way possible even though they can barely put together a 5 a side team, and are trying to be run by a crook. -
This is the sort of battling, stubborn batting performance England have been lacking for a while. I hope Roy and Denly can add to it in the future, then things will be ok.
-
Roy, Root or one of the big hitters of the middle order needs to score big to keep things level. I'm not confident of the whole batting order doing their bit and the team all contributing towards a big total. There will probably be collapses.
-
It's so annoying though. It happens so often. We get so far, do really well and then lose concentration, or something. OK, losing Jimmy is a huge blow, but we had them on the ropes at 122/8 and now they have a decent score.
-
We can never quite finish the job and smash a team. There's always a partnership 6-9 wickets down that accumulates runs and frustrates.

Another example of how football is broken. It shows that these new markets for the sport just don't get it. Football is a team sport, and you support the team not just one player. They should be made to hand back their Juventus shirts and never watch another non Korean game again. Still, being contracted to appear at a friendly (which is weird) and the manager not doing it is a breach of contract.
