  1. Absolutely right SG. He just has the feel of a colourless, banal guy when being a pundit or a manager. Living in Coventry, I know the fans are livid with this decision. Robins has guided them through some atrocious times and they love him for that. If Frank does get the job, he'll not get long before the fans will want him out.
  2. Frank Lampard is odds on to be the next Coventry City manager. Apparently he and the current owner are friends from what I have heard.
  3. It's like Man City or Pep's teams have to play intricate, passing football and a simple 'give it to a winger to cross to Haarland' plan is vulgar and uncouth.
  4. Not that big on Paul Weller, though I think he's OK. I'm seeing Gnome in Birmingham next may, as well as Iron Maiden in Prague. https://youtu.be/EE-LD2EcASo?si=LeMa7T4jbSpYQFj8
  5. Hahahaha. Vinjay will be upset, but I love it. A plastic club made to look like mugs.
  6. Just read that BBC article, and shook my head. That is absolutely stupid and a back door way of closing off the league to unfashionable clubs. It's the same with Union with RFU funds to the lower tiers constantly decreasing, promotion to the Premiership either not happening, or dependant on having a fancy ground.
  7. Thankfully I never been at those games. I presume you mean when Burnley are visiting, and are describing the fans
  8. Glad he had a better experience than a GG Allin concert in football form.
  9. I want to see England win something before I fucking die. We are not going to do owt with Alan Pardew or Gary O'Neill in charge. Mind you, I grew up abroad so I don't have that attachment to institutions in the same way.
  10. Probably because he's an English manager. Aidy Boothroyd has not done anything since leaving some Indian Super League club according to Wikipedia. Maybe he should be a Premier League or national manager.
  11. First one was, the second one wasn't. It was an entertaining game.
  12. Cashed out on a treble with Leicester not winning in the 89th minute letting me down. That's why I rarely gamble.
  13. Then how do we test players, tactics and suchlike? There probably needs to be a low risk game to try things out.
  14. My parents' knackered old dog would be a better choice than Lampard.
  15. There was a story about sperm donors getting £10 more for their contributions, and my message saying "Don't tell Boris Johnson, he's got enough children" got taken down.
  16. Eustace seems a bit more able to learn mistakes than JDT and Mowbray. Or at least that's the impression I get.
  17. Not even in the same country and my curse strikes.
  18. The Undertaker was mine. If the documentary isn't 'official' it could be really interesting. Vince is a successful yet shady character. And Hulk Hogan's role in plot lines and other outside the ring matters in WWF/WWE is also a rich topic.
  19. It was worse, it was 5-0. It was the only time my mum has been to a football match. I was there too, and we stayed iny sister's student house on Wren street, off the corner of the stadium. Coldest house in the UK. Remembered another pub near the ground. The Cherry Tree on Lythall's lane. Not sure if it is a pub for away fans though.
  20. Brilliant to see. I hope he has a few good locks. I've had a Nike stolen right outside Lidl not to far from the stadium.
  21. There's a few good pubs in the city centre, and some bad ones. Avoid the Coventry Cross, Downtown and The Phillip Larkin as they're like holding pens for The Jeremy Kyle Show. The Town Crier is OK and The Golden Cross near the cathedral is pretty good. I tend to go to either The Gatehouse tavern, which is a rugby pub, or Hops D'amour which is a micro pub near a load of the bus stops.
  22. Gallagher was dog shit. Gueye dominates in the air but is Emile Heskey when shooting. He can put others into play though.
  23. Coyle got the Rovers job as a fiddle so I'd not buy him a pint and chat. Almost as awful as Etuhu and Murphy.
  24. Just got tickets for Iron Maiden in Prague. I've wanted to see them for ages. I had to do it as they're not young anymore.
  25. OGS was building mediocrity, just like Moyes, Ten Hag and all the other managers since Ferguson. To say that Ole was going to do a Klopp is silly. He was tripe. The players need to be shipped out as they are the reason for the bad atmosphere around the place.
