This is utterly woeful. Hard to believe how badly we have regressed since November. -

Szmodic feeding of scraps in this new ‘style’. He looks so frustrated. We have been utterly dire. -

Our squad isn’t very good. Relative to the last few seasons….crikey. -
John Eustace - our head coach
Trinidad Rover replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I really struggle with Eustace and his interviews. Says a lot without saying much at all. Usually include: 'no excuse culture', 'togetherness', really excited', 'you know', 'working really hard', 'fadzy/hedgy/bucko/lowey' -

Thank you for sharing this. Confirms a lot of what I already believed to be the case. JDT is a class act. Ultimately, he was failed by the club and not the other way round. If he had got what he wanted in the summer, 'the project' would have continued and I believe eventually he would have got us to the PL. I also agree and feel like we have downgraded with Eustace. Nothing against him, of course he would take the job. He should be honored to. He has a minute fraction of JDTs pedigree and standing in the game and strikes me as a bit of a standard journeyman football coach. He is less articulate in his interviews that JDT and uses cliché after cliché, its horrible to listen to - particularly in the knowledge he is towing the party line; togetherness bla bla bla. It is dumbing down of expectations and a regression in my view. The problem was never the manager, it was the owners and those charlatans who lied and broke promises. I was extremely excited at the end of last season. What could, and should, have been.- 9495 replies

Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas
Trinidad Rover replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
£25 tickets for Plymouth at home. Staggering. -
Shown his ability on the ball. Pace of the game quicker than he is used to but he will be just fine. Palace fans love him already.

Eustace doesn’t stand a chance of being successful. 1. Because the root of all the problems still exist. 2. The vast majority of fans are fuming/disappointed/apathetic after the manner in which JDT left. JDT left on the side of the fans, Eustace has serious work to do to get that support. 3. He has accepted the job working for and under the charlatans running the club. This smacks of a Waggott appointment. A journeyman with little to no gravitas or heritage. Compare his and JDTs pedigree. It is no surprise he took the job, anyone in his situation would be lucky to manage Rovers. My issue isn’t with him, I wish him the best in very difficult circumstances. My main feeling is now apathy. A mediocre, cheap and boring appointment. Until the board and the owners go we are in purgatory. Miserable. -

Sad and disappointed in how the JDT era has ended. The man is a class act and has higher standards and ambitions than the charlatans running the club. Just look at his career. His statement is excellent and shows his integrity. He will go on to be successful as a manager, zero doubt. Good on him for trying to raise the standard at the club in impossible circumstances. Eustace….just totally apathetic. Another journeyman and back to the level I’d hoped we had grown from. Nothing against him, I’m just totally underwhelmed and frankly, over it all. The timing of the announcement from the club and the wording is totally classless. It’s all just very sad. I think I’m done with it. -

That the club think they can still charge £30 quid to go to this is quite staggering. Will we all get an audience with Waggott and the players for that? -

Another reason to appreciate JDT. Speaks the truth and what we are all thinking. Where does this end? -

He’s practically in tears in that exit interview. Not sure he wanted to leave (yet….or to Crystal bloody Palace). Sad day for us fans but all the best to him, hopefully fulfils his incredible potential. I’d hoped we would get another season out of him at least, even dreamt we might challenge for promotion with him. Thanks to the shambolic way the club is run that was never going to happen. Sign of where we have fallen to that we sell a homegrown talent to a ‘bigger club’…..Crystal Palace. Bit different to Duff going to Chelsea or Jones to Utd. -

So the rumor about the Venky overlords stopping any permanent transfers or fees is correct? 22m into the black hole it seems. As many of us predicted, we likely wont see any of it spent on transfers. -

Not necessarily against that, if he is crap we don't need to buy. If he isn't, we can. -

Ambition…. Develop and sell players: tick Stay in the league: likely tick (this year) Probably a nice bonus for Waggott. Thats our lot folks. -

Amidst the (totally reasonable) misery and gloom connected to the total s show at Rovers currently.......was reflecting on at least one good decision from GB - to let Dack go. Saw an article saying he is injured again. A real shame how is career is fizzling out. -

I always had the impression Davenport thought he was better than he was - record since Rovers would corroborate. Managed 25 appearances total in league 2 for Stockport and Morecambe....
