Fear a bit of a pasting in this one. Jed Wallace and Swift back for them. Team is somehow lighter than it was pre window. Will be interesting to see if Pears gets the GK spot back. -

Kaminski Lenihan Tosin Van Hecke Givet Cairney Reed Brereton Dack Elliott Armstrong Trying to pick a right back was fun. We have had some dross there in 10 years. Opted for lenihan. -

The Beadle rumor is rubbish I imagine. However......Imagine a scenario a few years ago when we got shut of (then a shocking) Jason Steele and someone told you we would be trying to loan a keeper who is 3/4th choice behind him. Sign of the change in stature and fall from the top table. -

Well, this is all pretty desperate. I imagine JDT has nothing to do with this, otherwise he looks a bit of a hypocrite bemoaning a lack of experience. This has to be a purely financial decision. The situation at the moment is untenable and something has to give. We cannot survive if the 'keeping the lights on' money has to be approved every quarter by a court in India. Ultimately, as I have said for a long time, Venkys simply don't care. We are but a drop in their ocean. Purgatory. -

How bloody good is Sam Szmodics. Top scorer in the championship at a canter. Quite marvellous, yet under the radar -

There’s stretched then there’s us currently. Pickering now injured. Any guesses on the back 4? -

No shame in our result last week when you consider this is basically the same Chelsea team. Feeling proud of the lads that played. -
Hindsight is wonderful and I am sure there would have been many complaining if we did sell him at the time......but that rumored £10m would have been handy!

2 lovely goals, we are excellent on the counter attack. Scott Wharton is a concern - looks a shadow of the player he was a season or so ago. Positioning all over the place. Moran and Dolan playing well. Hill excellent as per. Szmodics looks shattered. -

JDT wasn’t wrong when he said we are where we are in the table based on the squad. It’s threadbare. Cut (remove….) budgets, cut aspirations. Trouble looms. Just so sad after last year and all the momentum and positivity. -

I’m living 10 mins from Chelsea so delighted with that. Fancy us in this one with JDT ball. Chelsea can’t score. -

4. For the simple reason we didn’t meet the managers needs, a fact he has now confirmed. Hard to argue we are any stronger than last season, despite freeing up a significant part of the wage bill. (Letting Dack go now looks a mistake) Pros: 1. The keeper looks decent 2. Moran 3. Sigurdsson has some pedigree (though I do wonder if he wants to be here/heart is in it - was jetting off on hols this week) 4. Thank goodness we have a decent academy Cons: 1. Total lack of experience. Showed today 2. Goals. We create chances but as we saw today we miss most 3. Very thin squad 4. Majority of the teams around us look much stronger 5. Why no ‘big’ prem loan? First season in a while But the biggest issue I see is a throughly peed off manager. He is talented, driven and won’t hang around. Ultimately we got shafted by the owners and whatever reason/excuse they had for changing the budget. -

Infuriating today. Hope that’s the last we see of Pears. This German lad better be a superstar. -

Jordan Rhodes scored on his debut for Blackpool. Would have genuinely been a better option than anything we have.
