Give him the freedom of the town, a new contract and anything he wants. -

He’s been a superb signing. Huge effort closing down and quality on the ball. Annoyed Warnock too. Beautiful. -

Good game to watch and a brilliant goal. Smozdics playing well. Buckley a mixed bag, great pass but looks off the pace. Sheff Utd dominating the middle of the pitch and creating too many chances. Come on Rovers! -
Unfortunate and deflating, though not unexpected, news after the high of last night. Only good thing to come of this is a realisation we are utterly shambolic and dysfunctional behind the scenes and change is made. O’brien is a quality player who would have made a big difference….in January. It’s now March. I feel for the lad though. Bigger concern is the potential impact on JDT and if he moves on at the end of the season.

O’Brien looking at MLS move Looks as though a plan B supported by forest already in the works. Why is this taking so long to draw a line under it?

He is never going to make it. 2 goals in 19 matches in league 1. Mowbray rated him I think.

You can argue they already haven't. That I find very frustrating - attracting people of his calibre to the club was hard enough, after this I imagine impossible. -

I can see the following happen: 1. He walks into a European job at the end of the season. Reputation intact, can point the finger at the failings of the club and broken promises or... 2. He gives the club an ultimatum to either make the necessary investment (players, pitch etc). I think we know how that will go. Clutching at straws but if anything good can come of this utter cluster **** it could be that the owners/cub finally do get pushed into action. -

Just checked, he signed a 3 year contract and I can’t imagine he is earning pittance. Would be a big call to walk. That said, he’s a winner, he has standards. He has said it plenty of times, the club and those responsible for transfers ballsed up. Guess we will see how principled he is. Doubt he needs the cash. I just find it all very sad. Very very sad. After all the excitement at the start of the season we are once again a mess. -

£10m for BB is a lot of money in hindsight. I’ll admit I was pleased we turned it down though. New signings were absolutely critical to this team for the rest of the season. Look at the impact Thomas has had. Crap game. -

This side could really do with a Lewis O’Brien……oh. Ben is Brereton again unfortunately. In front of the chile manager too. His confidence is shot. Right hand side decent. JRC is a man transformed! Great to see. Gally and Dolan on please. -

Well, here we go. Huge game for many reasons tonight. Not overly optimistic but I hope the players can channel some frustration into a decent result. Sad watching JDT. He is still seething and once again distanced himself from the transfer shambles. Consistent in emphasising the ‘young team’ needs support, clearly he feels some sort of responsibility to them. Really can’t see him sticking around past the summer. Come on Rovers. -

Well, total balls up. My view, at last we have someone front up to 1. take responsibility 2. show some accountability 3. APOLOGISE That hasn't happened in 12 years. Couple of points: 1. JDT sounds furious. Timer on him being at Rovers now. 2. Thought the interviewer asked all the right questions - also not happened very often. Fair play 3. GB looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Not sure he will be here long. Cannot sweep this under the carpet based on one interview. Action is needed and goodness knows what the consequence of this will be for the club. Finally, that can't have been easy for GB to do all the above. Doesn't excuse it or change it, but we are all human and unlike previous crap that has happened, this was naïve rather than corrupt (I hope). -

I was too young to remember us winning the league but I do remember how bloody exciting those European matches were, despite us being about as useful in Europe as Waggott running a football club. I remember one game (against....?) when Shabani Nonda was electric and scored. Mcarthy seemed to look the part playing against European teams as well. Heady days indeed. Oh well, have we signed the lad from Rochdale yet? -

9-11: good morning Britain with Pasha 11-12: Facetime with Tony and Mark Venus 12 - 3: lunch. Probably on expenses 3-4: stand at the training ground in a raincoat or go to ewood and count how many shirts have been sold (cant be sold) 4-4.30: tell Pasha everything great and he's got a cunning plan to make loads of money -

Dear oh dear oh dear. Just feel quite sad. We are plumbing new depths here long after I thought we had reached our nadir. Penny for JDT’s thoughts….. -

Looked a frustrated figure last night - firmly distanced himself from the transfer situation. Understandably if the club has failed to land the targets he wanted. In my view, he has done a solid job so far. Extremely inconsistent but we are top 6 and into the 5th round. Easy to criticize and he cant be immune to it (Burnley, Preston games etc...) but he and the team are currently exceeding my pre-season expectations. He is clearly an ambitious manager, which can only be a good thing for Rovers. Let's see where we get to this season and enjoy the ride.
