  1. Graham > Gallagher. He has been very very poor today.
  2. played well in the first half. Tosin and Williams look far more mobile than previous pairings. Dack also playing well. Bell a liability and rothwell and Gallagher anonymous.
  3. started for Norwich as captain, so surely he was never even an option for us.....
  4. Has it actually been confirmed Mulgrew has left?
  5. Extremely poor window and unfortunately most of that sentiment can be blamed on Mowbray. As the end of last year he waxed lyrical about the European scouting network, the need to invest, a desire to get into the top 6 and the now infamous 'defenders are coming'. We have ended up with: - A striker at $5m we arguably don't need currently - A 35 year old Stewart downing who will be played as a utility man - Johnson, this is an improvement - A left back who couldn't get into a Cardiff side - A keeper who so far looks to be no upgrade on our academy graduate, except a few inches higher If we didn't have the means to do anything more TM should not have raised expectations. I am fed up with his prophetic interviews where he talks about how difficult it is to sign players with all the relevant excuses...….that's your bloody job! The buck now firmly stops with him. Results will be the barometer and I am not hopeful we will be sitting pretty in December. I hope I'm wrong.
  6. what Tony says and Tony does are two very different things. Expecting a Palmer scenario and him to disappear back to City in January without a trace.
  7. It's the hope that kills you, but based on the last 20 minutes we could be looking at: Gallagher Murphy Dack Armstrong Travis Johnson Bell Hanley Lenihan Tosin Walton
  8. Olsson at left back would be a great signing.
  9. It’s absolutely staggering TM has done nothing about the defense. EVERY single person sees this is an issue. The keeper doesn’t look particularly commanding either. Dear oh dear.
  10. Bennett and Bell look off the pace. Bell just cocked up a nice move forward. playing some nice passing football though. Majority of the possession.
  11. Looking at that team reinforces even more how bad a window we’ve had, especially the back 5. Will downing do a better job than Reed? And the top scorer last season replaced by a lad who scored less goals in the same season. Grim.
  12. MODS OUT!! For what it’s worth my brain tells me we will sign Carson; championship now, cheap, old, crap teeth. I’d love us to sign Hart and him play an integral role in getting us promoted before ousting Pickford as england number one, then running the length of Wembley with Arte Et Labore tattooed across his chest. Different side to his crap Maori tattoo obviously.
  13. Yes, I’m sure they put aside running a multi billion dollar conglomerate for a few minutes to sit and design the Rovers away kit. I’d put money on them not having even seen it.
  14. I like it and judging from the reaction on Twitter, many other people do too. It's a break from tradition, nothing wrong with that.
  15. Talk of Ollson, Hanley and Dann making a return...….we could get Bradley Orr back on a free at RB whilst we are at it. (I would definitely take the former 3, proven performers at this level).
  16. Hart would be an excellent signing for a midtable championship team, which we are.
  17. I predict this line up and formation: Gallagher Downing Dack Rothwell Johnson Travis Bell Lenihan New Bennett New - Graham and Gallagher will alternate a lot. - Brereton will continue his inside forward/wing 20 minute cameos, continuing to frustrate everyone and contribute nothing - Chapman and Armstrong on for similar cameos replacing Rothwell and Downing.
  18. As everyone panics and decides we are doomed...….perhaps Downing has left on his own volition in order to guarantee himself first team football somewhere else? Something he has been told he wouldn't get here. I doubt he has been 'shown the door' in order for us to keep Gladwin....
  19. The 1960 FA Cup final shirt is a belter (you can also buy replicas in the Roverstore). It would be good to see something like that:
  20. Back from Trinidad for this one - first game for a while and I’ve brought the weather with me. Only thing that can spoil my day is R. Smallwood in the starting XI. Hoping to see some of the u23 lads get a game, Buckley in particular
  21. good bright start from Rovers. Travis and Rothwell linking up nicely
  22. Heady days for a Trinidadian based Rover! I chat to Dwight sometimes and he said Souness was an absolute lunatic on the training field. We had some team in those days.
  23. well, in the end business as usual and nothing happening. That said, this has been the most entertaining window since the Luca Toni days. Nice one Madon! We can take some comfort from the fact Rovers are now linked to some decent players, rather than the Luke Vardy's of this world. Glass half full - we've come a long way.
  24. would be a hell of a signing. For that reason unlikely to happen......
  25. At least Grabbi looked like he had something and got a goal or two. Compared technically to Brereton so far Grabbi looks like Messi. Brereton needs to go out on loan ASAP but I can't see him becoming a championship level forward. At 19 he may be 'raw' and have potential but as other posters have seen, there haven't been any flashes/moments of ability.
