  1. Meanwhile Palmer, who we couldn’t get a tune out of, scores the winner for Bristol.
  2. Price tag, age, potential......put all of that aside - Brereton is a woeful footballer.
  3. 1-1 is a decent result. We lack quality and that is why we are mid table. This is a work in progress. Mulgrew was immense today and I thought Downing looked like a proper defender. Armstrong was shocking. Rothwell is technically superb, hopefully he can learn the other side of the game and develop his awareness. Middlesborugh are absolutely dreadful to watch, lucky we don’t sit through that every week. Onwards and upwards.
  4. Great draw - nothing to lose so go up there and in the words of G. Bowyer, ‘give it a right good go’ Play 4 up front. Then put Brereton on at left back for the last 10 minutes.
  5. The 7m man will be lethal in league 1! If he is allowed to start.
  6. This is absolutely staggering - to go 3 at the back when we are already defensively all over the place. Work to do Mr Mowbray.
  7. Bell needs to come off - liability. Evans - off for Rothwell. Reed into the middle
  8. Deserved lead for Wigan. Rovers are shambolic currently.
  9. same issue with me - been locked out and cant sign back in! Any joy fixing the issue?
  10. Have to play it safe and go back to the formula that has delivered success so far: Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew William Smallwood Evans Reed Dack Armstrong Graham Like it or not the defense looks far more vulnerable without Evans/Smallwood in front of them. Reed has to play instead of Bennett and Graham up top. Back to what we know and not 'a new style of football'.
  11. The Lithuanian youngster we got in the Summer, Vilius Piliukatis, is making waves for the under 18s and getting rave reviews. Scored two and got an assist against West Brom in a 4-1 win. Reports suggested we beat some 'big' clubs to his signature so excited to see how he progresses.
  12. Good win - eating some humble pie, thought we were crap for much of the game. Palmer and Brereton provided some creativity. Nice one.
  13. Brereton - 7m well spent!
  14. Dack up front again.....stubborn fella Tony Mowbray. Tactics wrong again today sadly. Brereton must not have scored in training this week......
  15. This is a tough watch - lack of quality from Rovers so far, pumping long balls to DG. i would put Palmer on for Smallwood, reed to the centre
  16. As I said, that signing looks odder by the day... 7m on Reed and I don’t see many people complaining. Ah well.
  17. Reed has been outstanding today. SIGN HIM!
  18. Extremely poor set up and tactics today from Mowbray - got this badly wrong. Zero outlet and Dack totally ineffective in that role. Palmer and reed our best players yet he takes Palmer off.... The Brereton signing looking odder by the day.
  19. Unfortunately that cameo did very very little to change my views on him so far - it’s the lack of football intelligence, that is innate in players, that is most worrying. If we really have signed him ‘for the future’, the merits of which is up for doscussion, take him out of the firing line totally now.
  20. Taking Graham off has won Swansea the game - lost shape and our game plan with it. Bererton concerns grow. Hope he proves me wrong but dear oh dear.
  21. Taken him off. Clearly I know nothing.
  22. He's at Derby with a long term injury.
  23. Martin Olson is still a quality player - their main threat up to now. Solid half from Rovers - let's concentrate and finish the job.
