Surely a free hit for West Brom and old TM this. Will our players be sulking or angry? Hope the latter. Johnson did a decent job in his game vs Stoke last year (no chance that was a Eustace win). Seems popular so perhaps the players rally after a Trav inspired motivational speech. -

Made me incredibly sad reading this. A perfect summary of the entire situation and its consequences. End of an era for many of us. -

Gestede is nailed on to get the job. Exactly the reason he is in the shadows not rocking the boat. -

Where is the communicator in chief, Gestede? Surprised he hasn’t come out to tell us we should be grateful yet -

We are all under the false assumption Venkys have any clue whats going on, or indeed care. I met Mr Venky in Trinidad at a KKR CPL cricket game a couple of years ago and asked him directly his thoughts on Rovers - he didnt know what Rovers was. We are a rounding number and a drop in the ocean in their business empire, nothing more. As long as Waggott and Pasha keep the balance sheet looking good they wont get involved. Waggott may haver some explaining to do when season ticket sales total 24 next year but the severance package for Eustace will offset that. -

Where did JRC play when he had that half decent spell under JDT? Can’t remember. Since then….he has regressed badly. So so poor. -

January Transfer window
Trinidad Rover replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Totally obvious the reason why. His wages will cover Dennis. The objective was clearly to break even in Jan and not spend more. Baker and Fadzean cover Sanderson, Forshaw, Ribeiro. Sigurdsson wages cover Kargbo (who is likely on peanuts) and Dennis % contribution. There is no chance Siggy offers less from a footballing perspective than every player on that list. The latest podcast from Elliott Jackson & pal cover this really nicely. Worth a listen -
Agree - he has been a big miss, credit to him for that.

That was the worst half I’ve seen this season. Pears keeping us in it. Dolan is just bizarre ….thinks he is 10x the player he is. Changes and a rocket up some backsides needed. Fancy Kargbo for hedges. Can’t be worse. -

I'll be there this evening - always a good away trip QPR. Hoping to see the mystery man, Kargbo. Imagine it will be the same team as Preston which is fair enough. -
January Transfer window
Trinidad Rover replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The thing that strikes me is the lack of long term investment. We have signed one player with a contract beyond this season and that is only until 2027. Disticnt lack of contract renewals too. Half the team is out of contract in the summer. My optimistic brain wants to believe Venkys might be looking to sell? My practical brain believes they simply won’t invest. We invested what, £900k this window? Overall a disappointing window and the bulk of activity done 3/4 weeks too late. We have missed a golden opportunity with the league as it is this year, teams around us have strengthened more than we have. 5/10. -
