  1. I’ve not had one for a couple of years due to work/kids. My son has an ST with our neighbours and was toying with getting one, I’ll miss more than I’ll be able to attend but I thought worth it on balance for first refusal on away games. However now early bird gone it’s defo not worth it and I’ll just buy match by match
  2. Adam is far too progressive/risky for Southgate, he'd start for Spain, not a chance he gets a kick for England. Mainoo although slightly more progressive is another conservative midfielder who because of the complete lack of progressive midfielders is seen as someone who plays forward, he's not.
  3. He tends to do commentary on the games at a level he played though rather than internationals
  4. My problem with women is the same as say a league 2 player commentating. They’ve not played the game at a comparable level and thus their experience doesn’t transfer
  5. I hope the home has the inside of the button collar with red piping and a thing red piping on the arms a la 92-94 shirt. I personally prefer us in the thick black and red stripe over the pinstripe but generally anything black and red ticks my vision of what a rovers away kit should look like. I do think they've missed a trick in not going for the gold/yellow and black 3rd kit, readers of a certain vintage will remember they only made about 500 of them originally and it was an ace kit, imagine if we saw a return of the the goalkeepers kit in that mad kaleidoscope shirt that all the Asics clubs had. I noticed Hummel re-did their Kaleidoscope shirt version for Denmark this time
  6. Footballers are employees not fans, in the same way that 99% of us would change jobs for a better salary and/or conditions it is churlish to expect players to be any different.
  7. I'm sure someone (who I'm sure is ITK on commercial type stuff) said months ago that this years had a 94/95 theme and would be a return to red and black.
  8. I think Bellinghams problem is due to his age and relative inexperience he's trying to do everyones job a la Steven Gerrard circa 2005, the game is very different now and even the 'poor' teams are fairly well drilled tactically. As a result of this he's not where he should be most the time and is trying to force passes and openings that aren't there. He gave the ball away so much last night, he's a fantastic footballer but he's showing his immaturity in this tournament. Not having a Kroos, Modric, Valverde in there with him is showing in my opinion. As much as the British media wants Rice to be a world class CDM/CM, he isn't, and it's being exposed here with a negative effect on Bellingham. It was made even worse by having the wind chaser Gallagher in there last night.
  9. Foden was one of England's better performers last night, the amount of times he was in great positions in the pocket screaming for the ball only for Rice to shit the bed and pass backwards was beyond a joke. We played a back 4 with single pivot against a low block, that's madness. Rice sat in his own half popping the ball around backwards and sidewards under no pressure thinking he's prime Busquets, turn it in. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, thats where England are at, no depth, no width just mindless sideways and backward passing in the middle of the pitch. Kane needs to be hooked and told if he wants to be a 10 then there are plenty of spaces on the bench, causes so many problems with the press with him so deep. He doesn't press so midfielders jump out of the line leaving huge gaps, Slovenia played through England a few times last night and they are ultimately a bit shit. Imagine this shower against one of the form teams like Spain, Austria, Germany, it would be a cricket score. The game was crying out for Wharton last night, the one man in the team who can pick a pass in congested areas high up the pitch, yet he's nowhere to be seen. Sums Southgate up, his only concern is not losing, zero ambition to win.
  10. oops, I meant 2-7-1, it was incredible. It was very JDT suicideball but they had it drilled to a T, the big bald lump of a centre half charging into midfield to receive from the GK was my highlight. Sabitzer as a free roaming 8 was incredible, showed how it was United who were broken and not Ragnick
  11. After watching Austria on Friday I think England would get torn apart by them, their tactical set-up was incredible and the fluidity in which they rotated position and built up in near 2-7-2 formation was mega. Makes Southgates plodding 4-2-3-1 and 5-3-2 look laughable
  12. Harry seems to be of the opinion that he's a superior player to Shearer, whereas I think anyone with half a brain or a knowledge of football outside of the last 5 years would politely tell him he's a long way from the truth.
  13. Moyes raised a good point last night re the state of grassroots football in terms of qualified coaches and available all weather facilities in Scotland. It's a similar problem in this country although the weather isn't as bad here and certainly not further south.
  14. If that is the shirt it might be the first one I buy since the navy Umbro away with the blue and white sash across, due to it being a tenner. I’m a big fan of the training kit, looks lovely
  15. I think the way they play compliments the others style too.
  16. Also, Rice and Wharton is the most naturally balanced double pivot pairing England have, and for that reason alone Southgate won’t pick it.
  17. Arda Guler will go on to be a phenomenal footballer. Watched a bit of him before his move to Madrid and thought he looked excellent, they’ve taken a softly softly approach with him at Madrid but by Christ he announced himself to the wider football world last night
  18. Think it's been pretty even between whether he plays LB or CB, usually plays LB for the national team. Went to Bayern as a LB but played more as a CB there, played more as a LB at PSG this year before his injury. My point still remains that France's first and second choice left backs are from the same family.
  19. Maddest thing about Theo Hernandez is that he’s only playing due to his brother Lucas tearing his ACL. Two of the best left back me in the world growing up in the same house, crazy.
  20. I think Italy are a really good side. The lack of exposure of Italian football in the country lulls people into thinking they’re not top level because we’ve not seen them week in week out, nobody was talking about Caliofori before the competition and I can guarantee by the end of it he’ll be one of the top defenders
  21. Kane isn’t a 10 as long as I have a hole in my head, opposition defenders are happy to let him drop in midfield and have the ball there as it means they can squeeze up and compress the play. Even if they don’t push up he’s not going to turn and run anyone so centre halves are happy for him to go in there. Even if they let him turn England weren’t going to get in behind so it’s zero threat. Kane going wandering is part of the problem. Someone needs to get hold of him and tell him to stay as high as possible. Too many players being allowed to play where they want rather than where they should.
  22. I thought that was poor last night. For all the talk of England played well for 30 minutes, that was in large part due to Serbia being so incredibly passive, the minute they realised they were in a game and started to press England in any was they folded like a deckchair. For all the possession in those first 30 minutes it was all just recycling the ball without any incision or movement that would open up passing lanes. Massive difference to Italy the night before, who moved the ball with real purpose in order to move Albania to create gaps. The desperate shoehorning of TAA into the team created a massive imbalance, everyone knows he cannot defend, as a result Rice sat so deep in order to cover the mistakes that everyone knew would happen. The game was crying out for genuine width second half to stretch the play and give Serbia something to think about, instead Southgate brought on willing (but limited) runners who scurried around in our own half. What was needed was an out ball to get them up the pitch. The shape doesn't bring the best out of England's best assets
  23. Yeah it was poor, it’s because they ditched the stripes and went for that contrasting arms job ha ha. We got relegated with yellow and black contrasting arms too if I remember rightly, princess trust one?
  24. I hope the away kit is stripes rather than pinstripes a La 93/94 and 00/01, they could have chucked in some real nostalgia with a yellow and black 3rd kit. We’ve always had good seasons when wearing red and black as an away kit, fingers crossed that continues!
