I think we're on something ridiculous like 3 up to now -

Leeds arguably have a worse side than last year and run out of ideas as quickly. Similar to the dingles if you give them space they will pick you off however remaining compact and well organised off the ball gives you a good chance of a point or more -

He might have done the mega on the touchline but when Travis played him through he displayed a touch like a serial killer and wasted a glorious chance of a counter attack. -

We’ve got very lucky in recent times with strikers hitting form and having breakout seasons however this season the lack of a forward will cost us promotion. In other seasons a forward has masked deficiencies or saved us. This year we look solid if unspectacular, which is often what gets you promoted. The lack of a forward will cost us. as the commentary are rightly pointing out -

2024/25 Season Tickets
Lancaster Rover replied to TheRevAshton's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The article doesn’t say that, it says Williams reduced ticket prices which saved fans across the board £1 million. A million that was recouped and then some with the record ticket sales and ancillary spend across the footprint of the game. It was a calculated cost/benefit decision by the board to stop crowds reducing in the face of a new tv deal that increased the amount of games on tv. also, try not to condescend to me the success in the 90’s and 00’s, I was there, home and away -
2024/25 Season Tickets

That’s nonsense, the TV deal in that period was a fraction of what it is now, with clubs reliant on Matchday income rather than it being an addition to their main source of income in TV deals. It was at the time a brilliant piece of marketing, and at the time was seen as an innovative and highly successful pricing strategy. Rovers relative success during that period was built on regularly averaging gates of 23k and above, which was driven by the idea that bums on seats generate additional spend which outweighs the ticket reduction. -

The Tom Finn and John Williams offer of 199 or 149 (or whatever it was) for a full ST or 16 game Darwen End ST is the benchmark prices like that i.e. 249 and 199 respectively and we'll have 20k on. -

I think the incompetence claims are really disrespectful to ground staff who work tirelessly on the pitch in all weathers and clearly take pride in their work. We’re in a valley, next to a river. Covers or otherwise don’t solve the problem of an excess of water needing somewhere to drain, a full river doesn’t provide this. -

This, given we’re about to enter the coldest/darkest/wettest period of the year where grass doesn’t grow the pitch could be ruined for the remainder of the season playing today. Even with the stitched pitch, I think it’s a good decision to call today off to preserve the pitch. -

Anyone remember that farcical games against PNE a few years ago, we won 1-0 but there were loads of puddles all over the pitch. -

To be fair it’s nothing to do with anyone at Ewood. Match officials and/or police are the ones who pull games. Most other games in Lancashire have announced inspections so you’d think we’ll follow suit -

The weather in Lancaster is absolutely terrible, with loads of flooded roads. How’s Blackburn looking? Can’t be arsed setting off at 12.30 to get turned around -

Good win in the end with some great passages of play alongside some sloppy play and questionable decision making. JRC narrowly avoids another potentially game defining mistake -

For all the talk of Cantwell being class, I’m yet to see him having a match winning performance. You look at Szmodics, Dack, etc who had the ability to win games in their own. I don’t think Cantwell has shown anything like that yet, he’s very good at clipping the ball from side to side under no pressure but has had little positive impact in the areas where it matters for me. -

Fair play to Ohashi, his ability very early in the move to get in front of his man and set the ball is what creates the space for that goal. -

That was a prime example of what I mean about Cantwell, gives the ball away stupidly then by holding onto the ball too long letting Pickering go behind, loses it and then leaves us 3 v 1 on the left. -

Cantwell misses/doesn’t touch a good chance and then tries to dribble out in a dangerous area. Which is why he needs to stay higher ip the pitch
