  1. Oh no, it's written in the stars what will happen tomorrow now isn't it. As I said before I think Bolton is a good move for the lad, Sam has the knack of resurrecting carreers that's for sure. Good luck to him, just not tomorrow though.
  2. Just read Matt's letter, what a class act. I hope he can continue to forge some form of career. One of the saddest days in my football supporting life when I came to the realization the Matty we knew and loved was, in fact, lost forever. What a crying shame, he was superb. Effin Sven. Good luck Matty.
  3. Paul, you've heard little cos people do not believe it happened. Glad someone else saw it. Had a read at the clarrots board from whoseits link. Bloody hell them clarrots are daft. Punch to the face, left hand. No question in my mind. The best view of it actually comes from a camera angle directly behind the ref, to be fair to him if it's hard to see in the replays what real chance did he have of picking out that incident in the midst of the melee.
  4. Wow I'm impressed we are catching peoples eyes. Bit less of the Hughes to Man U though please, if you don't mind.
  5. So who will be diving for Bolton in this match?
  6. Here then, have a banana. You have to see it from the right angle and it is amost at the point in time both him and Savage go to ground, a swift left to the head. Perhaps I imagined it, perhaps I should be on the nana's. I don't like Savage's antics either and I likely would not have him in a team of mine JUST cos of that, I'll stick up for him on this one though.
  7. I find it beautifully ironic the t' clarrots have more to say about our ventures than the success of their own youth team.
  8. The way I saw it he DID take a swift shot to the head from Rooney. You all blow it out of proportion. Look at the reactionfrom Crouch and Gerrard when Bowyer put in a hard challenge. It was a nasty malicious challenge by Smith with only one intent. I bet many a player would have acted the same way. Also Sav was trying to let Rooney go but them ears of Waynes somehow wedged under Sav's armpit
  9. And what picture is all over the back pages????Smiths lunge?? NO, Rooney smacking Savage??? NO. Sav's headlock?? OF COURSE
  10. Saw the highlights only, I must say how I wish we had a top class striker to partner Bellers. Not taking anything away from Kuqi but the chance that Bellamy created for him had goal written all over it. Brilliant how Bellamy drew all three players, Kuqi's run was smart and the pass was spot on but his touch and resulting shot let him down. Sav, so close, Bentley good chance but wrong side of him. No one will like this but again I found Friedal a bit wanting on their goal. Perhaps it's just me but I thought he could have done better. Great goal by MGP. Looking forward to the next leg, hoping we all keep fit, Burton take 'em to extra time and Liverpool give 'em a humdinger of a game. Last word, Smith went for Sav and should have gone, also I am pretty sure Rooney punched Sav in the face. Had it been the opposite way around I would bet everything in my wallet Sav, or any other Rovers player, would have walked. Let's put em out at their place. Sweet.
  11. Do you screw up kiddies birthday parties as well phillip
  12. Talk about poor timing, was it one of the Dingles did that interview, talk of the manager not being commited to Rovers right before a big game is very unsettling. In their defence, since day one it has been touted that this job at Rovers is merely Hughes' apprenticeship for Old Trafford anyway. It's been said since the day Hughes came and the lull Fergie went through combined with Sparkies success has only intensified things. Utd are perhaps one of a handfull of clubs I can see Sparky leaving us for, the day will arrive when he does. My choice for replacement is now already pencilled in. Mike Newell. But let's not start all that huh?
  13. N'er a ball has been kicked in anger, two possibly great footy matches ahead and the bread is already being buttered for some folks to start dishing out the "Rovers screwed up" sandwiches. It seems it doesn't matter what the club does with tickets the same ones are moaning, you'll not please everyone. Let's remember, if we are so concerned, the armchair and telly Brigade need only the slightest excuse to talk themselves out of going, one small justification. So, if you are really concerned, SHADDAP, and stop doling out the excuses. Jeez, wish I was a Wigan fan. BTW, expect a full strength United tomorrow, anything else and Fergie has lost the plot.
  14. I heard on SSN that both of fergies new signings are short of Match fitness. THe one that may play is closer than the other. Good for us, let Dickov work him for an hour then bring on Shefki and their new signing may lose his legs, not be able to keep up with Shefki. Be real nice if Rovers can get to this Final and the FA Cup Final. Last team to play at Cardiff, First to play at Wembley.
  15. That's cos Burnley fans don't wipe
  16. Agree with that one 100% phillip. Rio hates playing Dickov, so he will breathe a sigh of relief when we take him off then turn the Shefki on him. My biggest worry is that we will face a severe backlash cos of the Burton result. If we can keep 'em out for the first half hour 45 mins their heads may drop a bit.
  17. Happy for Sergio, hope he has a great game.
  18. And the risk of injury. I hope young Sergio get's a game today.
  19. With fondess in my heart and a wish for Matty to do well, It's not going to happen. All the coaching, confidence buiding first team appearances will not give Matt back what he has lost. His footballing instincts, the ability to do things without thinking. From what I have seen that is gone. He was great for two seasons and for that I am thankful. Legend? sorry no.
  20. Would "Burnley Fan Food Wrapper' be better?
  21. So after Fergie's little "non punishable outburst" at Mr Styles whats the odds they will get a penalty now, pretty good chance methinks.
  22. Interesting to note though that both of Neill's best years have come when he just about to negotiate new contracts!!!! As for Souness whatever his shortcomings as a Manager he still has a persona, I enjoy listening to him, perhaps he has a future as a used car Salesman. He has some valid points, how could would Hughes be if we had to carry the injury list that Souness has had to deal with. The look on Souey's face seemed to depict that the job is wearing on him somewhat.
  23. Fiar point American however, what would Sparky have won had he walked into the same talent pool as Souness had. Saving us from relegation last year has to rank as "winning" something we were dire and I was sure we might go down. I'd say let's see what Sparky acheives over the same time frame as Souness (if we can hold on to him) and then compare the two.
  24. I would not think if Jansen is leaving why he would play, if he happens to get injured then what does he do. Also on the game, with one eye on the Mancs in Midweek this a banana skin waiting to happen. Approach this game with anything less than 100% focus and we will be out of the Cup. Tricky game this.
  25. Isn't there suposed to be a meeting between Matt and the Club today. When will we know the outcome of that?
