A four match ban? It's a world gone bloody mad. As football 365 said you can spit, lunge, swear, elbow, stamp, punch, try to take some ones leg off all without reprisal, but woe betide you if you tell the TRUTH about a ref. A small fine and a polite warning to future instances should be the max here. Course likely scenario, the FA will look at it, realise Ryan is a key figure for BRFC and ban him to make an example. Lua Lua will get a wrist slap, just to irritate us even more.

He could talk like Mike Tyson for all I care I'd have him on our front line

Why not? I think he'd make a lovely diver. If anyone can resurrect his career it has to be Allardyce and no doubt Big Sam will point out his record of putting shrinking Violets back in the spotlight. -
and of those 10 Waggy, how many have similar size populations and a similar competition for Premiership Dollars within the region??

My sentiments exactly, how can Halsey justify the sending off of our boys when both Crouch and Gerrard should have walked too. It looked to me like Gerrard actually threw a punch in the Newcastle match. It's ######, we know it is, the rest of the fan's in the Prem know it is but the FA can't handle it. Our players were sent off for the application of rules to the letter, why not the 2 England internationals. Surely you MUST apply the letter of the law there also.

The jim in me is coming out, it usually does, I hate to expect to win, been burned too many times. Tough fixture for us at this time. As soon as "arry was Appointed I looked for when we played them and thought mmm, just enough time for them to get their act together. My prediction, a dull match, draw or loss and a couple of thousand fans that came back walking away saying bah, same old Rovers. Sorry it's the jim in me. -

I wish Matt all the best, I still feel sad about losing him almost 4 years ago, and I still think Sven shuld have taken him and was even more sure after seeing what we were lacking in Japan/Korea -

Several reports I have read/heard have put the whole thing down to our not having to play Sunderland. Funny it did not do much for Bolton, Boro or the Geordies. Don't believe I heard any mention of It benefiting Charlton. They just can't seem to give us any credit, the media, can they. -

Mmmm, "us" 'we" "rovers" better terms I think for a FAN -
It was my understanding that the Newcastle game was off not due to the pitch but down to the fact that the roads approaching the ground were iced over.

I would not say there is anything wrong with constructive criticism if the club fouls up. No real proof they did here, seems like. Thing is you get the same people with the same negative posting. It seems some only post when they do have an axe to grind, one finds very little in the way of anything complimentary when the club does something right or is doing well that comes from these folks. Rev, if you complain about everything you are sure to get some right, eh bud. Match was off let's move on. Course I did not make my way to Ewood but it's not like it's never happened to me before. My main cincern is that by the time we play Sunderland their fortunes could be brighter and we lost the chance at a decent crowd.

Exactly. On both counts.

4eva, we should all know and understand some people never miss the chance to have a go at the club.

No prediction but I think this will be a cracking game, don't fancy us to turn over wigan. I am really surprised this one is not on the telly, over here anyway. -

Funny you mention that. Fox had a run of old Cup finals on the telly Xmas day Man U ones. I was thinking how much better officiated those games seemed to be. Stuff going on that would not be allowed today. Also stood out a lot less whining about the decisions. Did some one tell Mike Riley handball is no longer an offence, he must have "missed" at least four today. Halsey's handling of the Bowyer incident was spineless. Both Crouch and Gerrard should have gone IMHO. -
jim as long as you have been watching Rovers? You know better, or are you setting yourself up for a good moan? That must be it two improbable wins on the bounce and jimbo is feeling a bit depressed My feelings are we will blow it, and also you know it, you are just sharpening your daggers
