We should all know by now there are different laws for different teams. I can bet top dollar if Todd's exact same incident had happened with Ferdinand or Terry or Campbell etc at home Mr Halsey would have been flapping play on. After his last debacle with us I watched him ref a game the following week, it was like two different refs. -

Was this a case of Halsey doing the double over us. He gave Liverpool the game and now Everton, Notlob plonker. Might as well have a Dingle ref one of our games. MGP missed a sitter sounds like corners sounded atrocious. Again us fans go on about how many of these up coming games are winnable and we get shot in the foot. I remember someone doing the same last season and we had a torrid time. Makes West Ham something of a must win, don't ya think. Come on you blues. -
It was the Heinekens. It really does refresh the parts other beers can not reach

Haven't been around long have you? Don't need to hate him, fact is I was one of his staunchest supporters to the end. I feel cheated by him now that's all. I still enjoy his persona, charisma and of course he always looks smart. The 3 players you mention, how much did he spend on 'em? We all know the Geordies have not won a lot but they have not been this bad in a long time.

What about when you were manager of Blackburn Rovers, what did you learn to live with? Hamstrung Rovers, now Hamstrung Toon, it's the training pitches? Grab a knob Graeme, it's 2005. Players now are finely tunes athletes, a quick kick around 2 or 3 times a week is not enough. I am so angry at myself for blindly following this individual. (Note, I did not say man) So many things have become so much clearer since he left. He engineered his move (remember the call about Shearer, was it? or was it Hi Freddy I'm available?) My apologies to those who I defended him against, Revidge is one, jim you don't count cos your only beef was about a hello to your lad not football, The man has taken a HUGE club with all the potential in the World and made them a pile of ######. (laughing stock) They are below us FFS. Selling Duffer and Dunn, compounded with Matty's career ending injury found him out. Our three crown jewels were carrying the man in spite of himself. As they disappeared so did we as a team. My humblest apologies but I never saw it then, I do now. I see him differently now, I really do, thanks for everything GS but the whole world now knows what I did not. You are lost in the past, you were a great player but one MUST roll with the changes. May Cotterill go to Toon and Burnley come begging for your services. Just reward cos I really feel, belatedly, that not only did you (Please don't use that word again) us but you knew what you were doning when you did it.

The man must have some outstanding self control, I bet the secretaries were wondering what the hysterical laughter was about that must have been coming out of his office when the deal was inked.

Saw the goals and I agree about Thommos, excellent strike. I do feel Bentley's goal was very good also, only saw it the once but I thought it was an excellent finish. Picked his spot and placed it just out of reach of the keeper and inside the post. I lot of players might have fluffed that one. Anyone else agree or was I just too excited.

Never thought I'd live to see the day, jim are you actually smiling?

I told you we weren't going to win on Penalties! Bloody well done Abs, I thought we were finished and well done the lads. Fickle me? No never.
-
Love your optimism Abster, not going to happen though. Bit of a slide coming methinks

It's LOSE, lose lose lose how many bloody times do you need correcting several of you. Did the dictionary change while I have been gone? I think I'm about to loose it, I'll use some of this lose change in my pocket, call the shrink.

COME ON MODS, isn't it about time we were shut of this plonker. How much more of this repetetive anti Walker family should we have to endure. BAN THE SON OF A BITCH
-
I am glad someone else thought so. He offered up the whole goal. invited the shot. I thougt we played some good stuff yesterday, 3-0 is harsh but they do have some quality don't they. Not too dis heartened.

I get the same thing here still philip with the Mexicans, but they say ahh Bobby Charlton
-
OK jim you got me there, somewhat inaccurate. Not saying he was not great, just lamenting what might have been had he chosen a different path. Does not know football? Joker you aren't you.

Mixed feelings here, sad at the passing of a great, yet great sadness on a great who passed on being great. Talented yes, great, can't sell me on that I'm afraid, too many are wrapped up in what could have been. The man chose his own destiny and it was not the one we all would liked to have seen. IMHO he could have been simply the greatest footballer of all time, full stop. It was not to be and it was George Best's choice. Perhaps modern councilling and treatment would have helped him, had it been available then but I am sorry greatness is not measured in small amounts, a third of a career or so. Greatness is awarded to those who overcome ALL obstacles. God bless yah George you were a joy to watch but all those moments of brilliance are , for me, tempered by your long and painful demise. Yours was truly a heartbreaker.

Waggy is it you that says England are always home from Tournaments before you are, if so you'd best have at least a fianls ticket

[Archived] Manchester City 0 Blackburn Rovers 0
USABlue replied to Ricky's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Sorry lads and lassies but there can be only one outcome today. Citeh will win handily. We've been undone not by City but by the Internationals. A poor performance to boot. Well at least it's only Arsenal next week. -
I would not want him here, no way. Celtic is a perfect fit, one time great player, arguably one of the best ever midfielders, whose career is in decline. He can still have the big crowds and win stuff but play in a poor league, big fish small pond. Hell even an ex clarrot is looking good there I hear. Thanks for some fine football Mr Keane but you have done yourself, your Country, your team and it's fans a great dis-service of late. My hat goes off to Fergie for pulling the plug at the right time.
-
Strongly disagree. I have the utmost respect for Roy Keane and his footballing in his prime. In my opinion what has come out of Keane in the last few years is not a man with the balls to speak his mind but rather a man whose skills are declining and he is in denial. Rather than accept he can no longer do what he used to he chooses to point the finger at others. The man almost single handedly trashed his own Country's chances of doing well in the last wWorld Cup due to some personal disagreement with the manager. He's past it, he knows it but cannot either accept it or admit it. A man with true stature, self belief and dignity does not do those things he did to his countrymen or teamates, nor does he renig on a hand shake agreement. A once great player in denial. The man needs to see someone.

[Archived] Our Loaned Players In Action
USABlue replied to FourLaneBlue's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Or perhaps it sends the message that, in spite of the youth's impressive looking set up, the young players coming out of Blackburn fall short of making the big time. It may just look poor for us, all depends how you want to look at it. -
Anybody watch the U21's tonight? I saw some of the highlights, why is it England always seem to get done by a dodgy decision. When will cheaters be reviewed and punished severely. It's way past time IMHO.
