I've said it all before, it's not just been this season, it's been coming for some time but no one wanted to listen cos Brad was one of them untouchables. He's been great stopping shots but his fundamentals have always questionable to me, coming of the line, positioning for free kick, punching, narrowing the angle. It's not a blip, as his reflexes go he will not be making as many of the wonder saves he's awed us with, at that point he will be a less than average keeper. I also don't buy into the coaches being a problem, if anything Brad's coming off the line and narrowing of angles have actually improved slightly, that is due I think to the coaching.

Well if I use Mourinho's logic I make it 5-1 to us. Terry not a penalty, bit of hand bags then Terry dives, watch it closely he even bends his knees to give himself a diving motion. Free kick, we gave that to them, Did Brad think it was a corner, why does he offer so much to shoot at all the time. It cost us at Anfield but it's nice to see people are finally catching on to Brad on here. Also a lucky deflection. I thought we did well, some of Rileys decisions were ludicrous, totally. Pederson get clattered free kick Chelsea, booked for a shoulder charge. The incident that got Hughes sent off there was little if not contact and I can see why Sparky was ######. Oh well, after 2-0 down I thought we were on a hiding to nothing, good spirit by the lads and some bloody nice football too. Keep this up and the only way is up. We simply must get bellamy a partner up front and someone who can get him the ball. Lost but proud. -

That's easy, anyone who does, has*, or will play for Burnley *All is forgiven if they pull on the famous Blue and White halves at a later date. Maradonna. Urs Mieir (or what ever). His name's slipped my mind now but the ineligable keeper who played a blinder, had to replay the match and played a blinder again. Cost us promotion. Was it Chesterfield's keeper. Maradonna Gerd Muller El Hadj Diouf Alpay And I'm none to fond of, Steve Bruce, Sullivan, hell Birmingham City for that matter, hated 'em since they took big Jim from us. Steve McClaren get's right up my nose. Mike Riley, The FA. Neil Warnock irritates me. I also despise Sven Goran Erickson. oh and did I mention Maradonna. -

I am VERY fussed that Charlton won, I feel a terrible backlash coming. -

To be fair Den perhaps you should have put McCarthy as not proven but fit enough to become proven. No problems with Bellamy's attitude(seemed to be most people's worry) or his ability, I wanted us to push the boat out for him before he went to Celtic. (Albeit before Fergie buggared off, I could see them two being huge together) Had I been given a straight choice at the beginning of the season I would have been torn, simply on the basis of Craig's history with injury. One way to end all speculation, let's go get McCarthy as well. -

True BRFC but beating them would be one very nice feather in the cap. Make some of the media choke a bit too. Perhaps if we did Chelsea would be just a small mention in the paper on Sunday. Bit like after we beat Man U I hear. After reading the pratts on the m/board link I can only say I would love it, just love if we could beat them. -

Wow, that's quite impressive, how many from Leeds. Sounds like a decent effort from the lads, not bad for a bunch of bully boys from the backwoods of Lancashire. Bonus, the ORIGINAL clarrot and blues beat their copycats. Nice. -

I'd like to see us Jekyll and Hyde this one. Come out lined up 4-5-1 and be physical for the first 15 or so, just to plant it in their heads. Then flip the switch and have a real go at 'em. The key here to me is Bellamy, he has to be fit and we have to find a way to feed him the ball to break through the Chelsea rearguard. If we can do that I think we have a chance. My biggest worry is that the Admiral is not going to be there to steady the ship at the back and I think that will cost us. -

I would love to see Jansen and Bellamy up front. It could just work. -
Let's not count any chickens on Bellamy and his fitness, there's always the possiblity he could do his knee pulling ona sock or lacing up his boots. I have my fingers crossed he will still be fit for the Chelsea game as he could be the one player to unlock them at the back.

First comment, he did and he won't. Side not he better not try any more straight down the middle, did it against Leicester in the cup and only just got away with it today, if he does that on the next one he'll fluff it. On your second comment, I'll have some of what you are smoking. There is no similarity whatsoever in Dickov and Bellamy, 'cept perhaps height. What I think you mean is they both had similar chances, Dickov missed, Bellamy did'nt. -

I was not overly keen on him either but I've seen us have more clear cut penalties turned down and I really thought there was an offside for our second so, I'll not say anything. First half he was a bit picky though. I still think we can do much better we won at a canter I thought. Was a bit nervous when we lost Ryan but all ended well. Commentators here did little but pour negative comments on Rovers, not sure if they were the same ones as for over there but it is really getting on my tits. -

When did they change that? I had no idea the whole bottom half of the Premiership got relegated this year. -
As far as attendance goes rubbish, I think the football ground in general is more sterile and pacifist and pure than ever before. Caring society and confrontational society? Are there such things. People of those trends exist but not whole societies I am sure. It's a crack at a footy match, not in the best of taste but that is all it was. Let's get over it without trying to play junior psychologist. I really hope you don't feel that folks airing their opinions is stirring up confrontation.

Will Bellamy even be playing? -
Sparky may, just may want to leave a bit more of a legacy at Rovers. He might just want to accomplish something before he moves up, or on should I say. That said, should Sparky move on Mike Newell with the job he has done at Luton is looking like he could be a very capable replacement. Personally I don't think Sparky is ready to move on. As for Owen's hamstrings no surprise to anyone here is it. My biggest worry, knowing how unfit our players were when Sparky arrived, is that Owen will be way off the pace come World Cup time. If Souness does not lead his team to victory and they do poorly against bar code juniors in the Cup, he's gone.
-
If the chant motivated him perhaps the Kop can take it up. Rafa will be happy if he scores more and Cisse won't be whining anymore. Not a nice chant but I've heard worse and I am glad McKevely is no longer in our team, likely would have upset him more. I did not hear it on the telly, nor did the commentators make reference to it. Let's move on. Brum this weekend and Dunny. Should we have a list on here of acceptable and upsetting chants so everyone knows before the game what is and is not acceptable.

That would not have even been an issue had Freidal not offered about 6 yards of his goal mouth on a plate, with a bullseye on it and a flashing neon sign that read SHOOT HERE. Have you had much to say about Zura's tackle, np doubt had that been Savage you'd be saying Savage cost us the game. Likely also that had Savage not put in the challenge and the fella had curled a shot into the top corner you'd be on he bemoaning Savage's reluctance to throw himself into the challenge, I bet you would. Amazing how folks can see what they want and be blind to other things, all in the name of justifying their own opinions. We all do it. Some people can hold there hands up and admit perhaps they had not judged correctly.

I could not have put it better TND.

Not only did he miss Maradonna cheating he also missed at least one penalty shout for England as Lineker was pushed into the nets. I have still not forgiven England for wearing the colour of shorts they did that day.

Becoming greater? What planet you from Neil, and I mean this in the best of spirits, not sarcastically. It's been going on for years, perhaps not as focused on actully stiffing it to Rovers but the favouritism shown the big clubs and big players has been glaringly obvious for years IMHO. As I said in an earlier post, Terry, Ferdinand and Cambell would not have even got a talking to and the commentators most likely would have been spewing out their superlatives like commitment and passion ad nausium. Why is the footy match commentating going American style too, I hate that. Two knob heads blabbering on about buggar all except how clever they are. Why do they not just commentate on the game that is going on in front of them, how it used to be.
