Don't know Tom Finn but some of my Rovers mates back home don't like him much, singling him out for some of the away ticket fiascos. I don't know that, in all fairness, you can point the finger at Williams for failing to hold on to our players, I was have thought Souness was the biggest part of that. I also don't recall too many instances about him "banging" on about survival either, again Mr Souness did a lot of that. As for creating a negative atmospere, well Rev you know how you used to come across in the LET. 98% Negativity dropped in the laps of the local townsfolk week in and week out does little to help put bums in seats either does it. Perhaps the whispers of Mr Williams influence in removing said negative reporter have a little to do with your views, perhaps not. I feel Williams could get more involved in getting the marketing side of the club up to scratch, we really have to fight for every penny now with both Bolton and Wigan in the Prem. Hopefully he can help support the manager in putting out the best quality product in the hopes that people will come. However Rev, I think you know as well as any of us souls that have followed Rovers for years, once the public of Blackburn is turned off it is a real buggar to get them back, a real buggar.

I was wondering also if it is more a case of the Trustees wanting to be more in tune to the daily operations of the club, where the money comes from and more importantly where it goes. Hate to be called names again but it makes me wonder if the trustees are giving it a good looking over with a view to getting out now that a suitable amount of time has elapsed since Jack's passing. Hopefully it will be all good but I just have an uneasy feeling about it. Over the moon for Mr Williams, I do hold him in high regard good luck to him.

What a buggar. I was working while the game was on so I set the VCR and hid from the score. Got home watched the first 90 mins and first 5 mins of the ET and the bloody video stopped. I used the automatic program record instead of manually setting it, of course on Auto there was no allowance for ET. Well miffed. To be fair to Glazer, he's been very successful with American football teams (I'm sure our American chums can fill us in here). However, as I understand it, he's achieved his success at the expense of the fans by hiking up ticket prices and basically selling the soul of the club / team. As Man U doesn't have a soul anyway though I'm not sure what he'll do at United. ...in 1997, he decided that his team's uniforms were too "girly" so he ditched the orange and red pirate, and adopted darker red, metallic "pewter", and black as the new colors, and changed the logo into a skull and pirate flag... most people agree that the new uniforms are much more professional... however, it may be a bad omen for man u fans, since glazer was so quick to discard tradition... Which might mean that, abandoning all tradition, he might build one of these over Old Trafford to match the one at the Buccaneers' stadium... One change I would like to see is when posting. I would like to see the spell check moved and replaced with the post button, swap places for the two. I've lost count of the number of times I've clicked spell check instead of adding my reply. Bit nit picky but there it is. I am sure about 4000 other would like it left alone, that's fine. Err, not really. If you read my post it is not entirely endearing is it now. I am anti FA at the moment and have been for sometime. (my disdain, I think runs all the way back to them not appointing Brian Clough as England manager) I simply do not like the way they run things. They seem totally clueless most of the time and they portray to me a clear and present bias.
