1. Don't know Tom Finn but some of my Rovers mates back home don't like him much, singling him out for some of the away ticket fiascos. I don't know that, in all fairness, you can point the finger at Williams for failing to hold on to our players, I was have thought Souness was the biggest part of that. I also don't recall too many instances about him "banging" on about survival either, again Mr Souness did a lot of that. As for creating a negative atmospere, well Rev you know how you used to come across in the LET. 98% Negativity dropped in the laps of the local townsfolk week in and week out does little to help put bums in seats either does it. Perhaps the whispers of Mr Williams influence in removing said negative reporter have a little to do with your views, perhaps not. I feel Williams could get more involved in getting the marketing side of the club up to scratch, we really have to fight for every penny now with both Bolton and Wigan in the Prem. Hopefully he can help support the manager in putting out the best quality product in the hopes that people will come. However Rev, I think you know as well as any of us souls that have followed Rovers for years, once the public of Blackburn is turned off it is a real buggar to get them back, a real buggar.
2. I was wondering also if it is more a case of the Trustees wanting to be more in tune to the daily operations of the club, where the money comes from and more importantly where it goes. Hate to be called names again but it makes me wonder if the trustees are giving it a good looking over with a view to getting out now that a suitable amount of time has elapsed since Jack's passing. Hopefully it will be all good but I just have an uneasy feeling about it. Over the moon for Mr Williams, I do hold him in high regard good luck to him.
3. Isn't # 6 being saved for Tugay's invisible friend. Well done jim, spot on with the positions.
4. Think about it Phllip, one just has to read some of the tedious, back biting, slagging off, nonsensical posts on here to realise it would, in a short time, devalue what the ISA is trying to acheive, I think.
5. I think you are right there. Careful, very careful, consideration needs to be given to any message board situation. You do not want to create any division here I would imagine. ISA news only would be my thoughts also. Great news folks, kudos to the group of you who made the effort and took the time to get the ball rolling. The fans absolutely need a voice. Hope it works out.
6. Sad to see Stead go, I think it is a mistake to have let him go. I will be even sadder if Andy Cole comes back.
7. Well done American, perhaps it will catch on. Grabbi, to elaborate a little. It seems NFL rules prevent owners from having any connections with any Casinos and/or gambling establishments. Even gambling by pro sports players over here is frowned upon (Pete Rose)
8. What a buggar. I was working while the game was on so I set the VCR and hid from the score. Got home watched the first 90 mins and first 5 mins of the ET and the bloody video stopped. I used the automatic program record instead of manually setting it, of course on Auto there was no allowance for ET. Well miffed. Anyway, Congrats to the 'Pool they sowed great spirit and character, I don't understand why people hate 'em just because they are better than us. Well done Liverpool.
9. I'd like to see Preston come up. Another Derby is always good. It leaves t'clarrots quite alone with only the Yorkshire Derby with Leeds to look forward to. Heh Heh nobbers will be giving 'em some stick if they make it.
10. Conversely it would be appreciated if new questions were answered. 317500 Maybe you should not ask such difficult questions
11. But why am I the only one, why put me down as 0% Are the mods preparing themselves, should I try to press their buttons? 317310 USABlue, I think that you can only see your own warning level. 317311 Haha, got it thank you for that. I feel a bit silly now.
12. But why am I the only one, why put me down as 0% Are the mods preparing themselves, should I try to press their buttons?
13. Not sure I am sold on the looks, bit business like but it takes me a while to get used to things. I like the fast reply button. Perfect for those of us who have limited time for posting. Hey, I just noticed, what does the warn thingy mean. Mine says warn 0%, I don't see it on anyone elses.
14. To be fair to Glazer, he's been very successful with American football teams (I'm sure our American chums can fill us in here). However, as I understand it, he's achieved his success at the expense of the fans by hiking up ticket prices and basically selling the soul of the club / team. As Man U doesn't have a soul anyway though I'm not sure what he'll do at United. ...in 1997, he decided that his team's uniforms were too "girly" so he ditched the orange and red pirate, and adopted darker red, metallic "pewter", and black as the new colors, and changed the logo into a skull and pirate flag... most people agree that the new uniforms are much more professional... however, it may be a bad omen for man u fans, since glazer was so quick to discard tradition... Which might mean that, abandoning all tradition, he might build one of these over Old Trafford to match the one at the Buccaneers' stadium... And, yes, they really do fire cannon when the Bucs score... Or Utd could end up actually PLAYING in that Stadium.
15. I know its hillarious I agree, this has the potential to ruin Man united, how can anyone not find it fun? Perhaps all their money and greed has caught up with them, if they had united fans in charge instead of those 2 irishmen this situation couldnt have happened. However as they are so driven by money, the irishmen are in charge and this has happened, a lesson there. Exactly who do you mean by they? Is there a choice for who is in charge? Who would pick whether the fans were in charge or the Irishmen? Do you really understand what it is you are saying? I don't. If I was a United fan, I would be really really concerned but then again I would not have left early at our last home game either. My gut feeling is that this spells the end of Man U, I get the feeling Glazer is ego driven and if that is the case once he takes control he is going to have to pee on all four corners, show who's boss I expect nothing but trouble for Man U. I know most of you hate them but they are to be commended for helping make the EPL a household (well better known) name over here.
16. Yes, jim would prefer FROWNIES
17. One change I would like to see is when posting. I would like to see the spell check moved and replaced with the post button, swap places for the two. I've lost count of the number of times I've clicked spell check instead of adding my reply. Bit nit picky but there it is. I am sure about 4000 other would like it left alone, that's fine. As I get older and my memory fades I would like a way of knowing where the hell I posted last, sometimes I simply forget.
18. Mrs American, if you find yourself in that predicament again, Arizona is not THAT far from MA. You would need a fast shutter speed though cos I don't know if I would be able to stop shaking , Let's have a win today heh.
19. I can only think of Burnley in recent history as a team I have wanted to beat more than this shower. The arrogant, conceited, insulting stuff they came out with during the Savage saga really got my back up. It really would be nice to rub their noses in it.
20. As another technically NOT gifted person, will this affect my e-mail at all, do I need a new address or what exactly is the magnitude of using this program. Should I remove explorer, what if I don't like it and want to change back is it a big beal. Since I still use a dinosaur what are the minimum requirements.
21. OK you lot have me interested, I usually take the stance if it ain't broke don't fix it and as long as IE works for me I have not really cared. I would like to try this, what initial problems can I expect to encounter.
22. Give him a week or so and he will be.
23. Now that does not seem quite right, poor Everton fans what a dagger through the heart that would be.
24. Err, not really. If you read my post it is not entirely endearing is it now. I am anti FA at the moment and have been for sometime. (my disdain, I think runs all the way back to them not appointing Brian Clough as England manager) I simply do not like the way they run things. They seem totally clueless most of the time and they portray to me a clear and present bias.
25. Heh Heh heh, taking my memory back not too far that seems pretty rich coming from you Rev In fact it might have been you that started this whole anti rovers sentiment in the first place, buggar. I don't think we can woo the press back, even winning the league just ticked 'em off. They just don't like us, never have, never will.
