DOn't be silly we all know the clarrots had 20,000 there. Did you not see all them yellow double decker buses.

Whether this has been posted or not I don't know. Every time I hear Mark Hughes speak, or read of his quotes I like him just that little bit more. I particualrly like this statement taken from the LET "You've got to compete at this level and that's what we did," said the Blackburn boss. "Whether or not they're upset that they weren't allowed to play the football they wanted to play is not my concern. "My only concern was to ensure that the level of performance of my players was at the right level and it certainly was." That, my good Blue and White friends is, in my opinion, one of the best statements to ever come out of a Rovers Manager. Brilliant Mark Hughes keep it up, we will have the passion back if you keep it up. Pretty we may not be but if we have balls, blood and thunder footy 100% from all 11 on the pitch then I can happily live with that. Hell, I can be proud of that, anyone else? Blackburn Rovers Football Club, dirtiest team in the prem? NO just the 'ardest that's a little mis understood.

Nice one. Whatever happened to the legions of boys that used to follow Rovers home and away? The same ones who were referred to as 'mental' by the self styled nutters of Millwall in THAT seventies documentary? Some of the old boys I talk to (in their 40's and 50's now) say they hate how the game has become more of a family event than a boys day out. They hanker for the poor football, old terraces and squalid conditions of yesteryear. Jack Walker has so much to answer for... I really would have no idea

ARISE SIR LEFT BOOT THE ABSTER SALUTE YOU Fun days them, the trepidation, the adrenalin. No tickets, pay on the gate had to be there early doors to make sure you weren't locked out of the Longside. Cheap ale (decent too) at the back of the Logside. We usually arranged a van or a convoy of cars for travel. Being in Accy there was always fireworks whether it be at Home or Away. The joy of victory the mind numbing depression of defeat. Twas grand, hope this one will be too. I'd hate it, just hate it if they beat us. You'll hear about nowt else, nothing else would count the last three decades would suddenly disappear in their eyes so it is very much a must win game. If we play like we did against Chelsea I reckon we will be alright. One comment what sort of clarrot spends 6 quid to watch Rovers play, you could not pay me 6 quid to watch them muppets unless they are playing us, won't do it, just not right is it. Should be a corker either way, hope at least they can make it competetive this time, hope we can win with a scabby goal, the more painful it is to them the better. Go two goals down, roar back to win 3-2 in the last 5 mins something like that would be nice

Good grief - what a pathetic post. Still, no surprise. Friedel's fundamentals (whatever they are) have been fine throughout his time at the club. He's had bad patches of form over the last two years, but he's also had many more games when he's been outstanding. He's currently in another bad patch. If that means he's been crap for ages in your opinion then that's up to you. I don't agree. Oh, and what does being a "Yank" have to do with it? You've got more chips on your shoulders than McCain's. Every time you do this. Would you act differnetly if I cahnged my user name to BangladeshBlue. What does being a yank have to do with it you ask? check some of your old posts and you will know. Every difference of opinion I have to you is met with hostility and some form of insult or attempted degradation. I don't agree with you either or your idiotic earlier post that I responded to. However I would not start my response in the completely immature way you did, ever. We both know the truth don't we Scotty. -
Just make sure I am not involved, I would likely be banned for life.

I for one will be very pleased if we can play like that till the end of the season. I don't think we were dirty, nothing malicious, just good old fashioned hard nosed footy and a ref who let it go for the most part. I think we will see Chelsea start to lose a few games last night and Moanrihno will be partly to blame. No one this year, that I have seen, has got after Chelsea like we did, everyone seems to sit back as if they are afraid, they let them play. Now, not only was it evident on the pitch but the fact that Hose A made the comments he did reinforced the fact that his squad of mega millions players are not up to that style of play. Watch as more teams adopt that against them now.
-
I'll still argue that point, I remember it like it was yesterday and the clarrots started out singing it as "till we play" Nothing surer in my mind. I rmemeber the clarrot fan coming to school and reciting it to me the day after it was first sang on the turf, remember it like it was yesterday. Even remember the lads name. Remember thinking at the time, typical @#/?s (yes WE called THEM that back then) the song doesn't even make sense, what's this TILL stuff?

Rubbish, what you mean is you can not admit you were wrong. Great players don't suddenly become crap over a couple of months (Injuries excepted). He's been lacking fundamentals forever, getting by with spectacular reflex saves. Now those are going, and have been for some time, he does not have much left to offer since his basics are dodgy. I mentioned this over and over starting early last season but you would not have it would you, well if it makes you feel better we can all pretend it's only been recent, after all "what can a yank know about footy" (even though I am not) Enjoy your pie, you know, the humble one. -

Bit contradictory isn't it, the Chelsea player should have gone for such retaliation, no doubt in my mind. But find a ref who has the balls to send off a "big three" player in the last minute and give a penalty that might change the outcome of the game, you won't -

Just watched the game, skipped through most of the posts on here. Disagree with the naysayers, don't think MGP was that good, isn't a winger supposed to take people on. Didn't think Neill was that bad, thought Thompson stunk, for the most part. Emerton? see MGP. Thought we played very well first half and quite well second, lacking the quality up front that is for sure. Also saddened by not going for it all out attack, nothing to lose there was there? Think Freidal has seen better days (still) The thing that put the biggest smile on my face, Nelsen and Mokoena, if those two can perform like that week in week out we should be OK very very impressed with the both of them. Will Savage be taking our penalties now? I just knew Paul would miss he tried to place it but he telegraphed it too. Oh well. We need to find a way to score, all the fantastic work at the back will all be for nought if we don't. -
Sam, you surprise me, admitting that on here.
-
Shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Gally on the bench, bring him on 15-20 mins left, that is when he seems to do well. He never seems to have a good game starting but coming on as a sub he just about always has an impact. Too bad it's on the Beeb, I think that means it is unlikely to be on over here, it seems to me they only show the games that are on sky, ######.
-
I have only just learned that Fergupussy refused to play. What a complete moron. He has no idea what he has done he will always be seen as the little tosspot who could not hack it in the Big Leagues. Enjoy your handful of competitive games in Scotland you wimp.
-
Of course I can - hence my post, just a little more banter Of course I don't recall any cases of Burnley fans appearing in court for racially abusing a player so not sure its kettles and pots exactly Deleted, tasteless post, I won't rise to it.
-
It's true Gav the 3-1 scoreline was the day t'clarrots had 110,000 at Ewood with 30,000 locked out and another 25,000 unable to make it cos of problems with the trains. What a delusional bunch.
-
You must be on about the Kings Head, Mucky Duck too I think there are a few. Not been there in over 20 years used to frequent it once in a while when I lived near LA but it's a bit of a drive from Arizona
-
He won't be wanting to play in the Championship.
-
Buggar Ferguson, what about our team. We have lost a decent player and we have done absolutley nothing to strengthen our weakest link, very upset over here.
-
I think we have established on clarets mad that you brought around 3000 to the turf whilst we brought around 7000 to your place. On clarrots mad? well it must be true then. Rovers/Police had the ticket thing sewn up. I know many Rovers fans from home who simply could not get a ticket. As for "sell out" Was the large space in the Woodshed not by design rather than no shows. If I recall you had about a few over 5000 there, or about 1000 fans per goal conceded, which ever way you prefer to look at it. I don't think you will be such a push over this time though, you seem quite steady at the back and we are lightweight up front so you have a legitimate shot at putting two and a half decades of misery behind you.
-
Fingers crossed you are right.
-
Buggar, hope he's not going there just to irk Souness. Come on Bellamy you don't want to play up there. Worst case scenario we lose fegie and do not get Bellamy. Also I thought Newcastle were not willing to do a loan deal. Surely GS would not be happy with a loan deal that put's his buddies team an even more distant second in the two team league.
-
Oh No, we lose, which we well could and we will never hear the end of it. Hope we are up for it, too bad it was not at Ewood.
-
PLease say it's not true. Not Carew, what will we do. I don't like this fella, sorry I just don't.
