  1. He has improved but that is a bit OTT.
  2. One also has to wonder would we have seen the team we saw had all our "stars" been fit. Would we have played so committed and actually looking like a football TEAM more than a bunch of disjointed talented players with no common purpose looking lost with no apparent game plan. One thing I have noticed in the last two games is we actually looked like we WANTED it. If only we had gone out that way against Fulham, I think that was a bollocks dropped by ToMo cos I thought we could have done em if we had gone for it and ruffed em up a bit. We stand a chance now to make a real statement against Brentford. Fingers crossed for a Birminghamesque clangers or two from Agent Raya.
  3. Caution advised by me too. It's way early days yet. He's been out so long if he can't come back fired up after that?? I'd let things level out a bit first, let the initial enthusiasm wear of but by golly.he did look good didn't he.
  4. Maybe in all his time.off he forgot how crap he was. From what I recall he had a few good games early on the just sort of got lost. He looked pretty useful.today, yesterday.
  5. Working nights sucks at times, I did not wake up till halftime. My views for what it's worth. First I thought Buckley looked very good, there is a very good footballer in there, bit like Riding he is so calm, seems to have great vision and the ability to use that vision. Now, I read that he had dropped off second half so I have.to watch the first half now because I still thought he was really good so he must have been fantastic first half. Just needs some bulk and let's hope that does not detract from his abilities. Another shout out for Samuel, who is this guy. Such strength some wonderful little flicks and tricks to befuddle his marker and the ref should have offered him more protection. Perhaps being out for so long has made him hungry again, allowed him to realise just how fortunate he is to be a pro footballer. Best thing for me is, in the past had I come on at half time 2 up I would have been bricking it the whole 2nd half, a bag of nerves as we clung to and eventually surrendered our lead. Today there was none of that I thought we looked quite solid. Couple if great Walton saves from distance but that is what we limited them to. Johnson, another I have lambasted had a good game, in fact Travis, perhaps my favourite player looked the weak link today. I think the lad needs a break, his tenacity is still fantastic but his is getting a little sloppy with the ball at times. Now lads can you keep this up or will we be doing a Rovers special and capitulate just when our hopes are up. Time will tell but I like our look right now. All the players are looking like they want it. Just watched the highlights to see the goals, how is that not a penalty? 2 stonewall's in 2 games. Bowyer has the audacity to bitch about the free kick after that?
  6. You were raised on Sir Roger and an era when keepers actually did hold on to shots. I remember Sir Roger diving full length for a shot heading to the top corner did he push it wide, over or back into play? No he held the bloody shot. Was a thing of beauty from behind him in the Blackburn end. I maintain some of Walton's problem is his foot movement he seems to.like to take a few stutter steps before he moves or dives costs him precious fractions of a second.
  7. You are the first I seen to mention that. I thought the same the BB deserved credit for closing the keeper down and forcing the mistake. Bright performance from BB, maybe just maybe?. What a goal by Arma, one I have openly criticized but he has come on leaps and bounds to prove me wrong. Credit to Mowbary for the subs too. Tonight's results and Charlton next oooh who'd a think.
  8. Bit like last year when we beat Hull with a lovely performance. I thought we had turned a corner too but it was to bottom dropped out street.
  9. Population and catchment areas of those little town clubs?
  10. We played scared, too cautious, gave the way.too much respect and it was clear.to me had we started.ijt actually going for the win we might have. Only.started.to play when ToMo's Master plan of a 0-0 went out the window. This one's on ToMo I feel. Crap, we were the home team Tony.
  11. Needs to Route 1 the rest of the way.
  12. Sorry folks I will stop posting but the game is horrible.
  13. Game over, mistake by Travis. Shame can't say they have not deserved it. Now does ToMo have a plan B?
  14. Williams? At this point I will take Bennett over Johnson he has been a waste of a shirt today.
  15. Crap ref their guy all over Ryan nothing Gally wins the ball back foul, jeez we playing Southern softie version of rules.
  16. Maybe I'll stay we won a throw in their half, thrilling stuff.
  17. Bennett warming up, JHC, he can't resist can he. End of game. Tyre it is.
  18. We look like we are scared of their penalty area, faces in the crowd look as glum as we are playing.
  19. Dilemma here, should I continue watching or should I go fix the wife's flat Tyre. Tough call.
  20. Fulham pretty much on a piss take here. Are we going to threaten their goal at all, will we be adventurous enough to even win a corner. I wonder if it is hard as a player to motivate yourself when your manager has made it clear all he wants is a point.
  21. Says something our two best efforts to force the keeper into saves were on our own goal and our own keeper making the saves. Hope we can threaten the same end in the second half. Walton very very clever there dallying on the ball to force Mitrovic into hurting himself. Sly beyond belief our Christian.
  22. Young Ryan Nyambe is coming on very nicely.
  23. What will ToMo do if Fulham score and his master plan of a 0-0 goes out the window. Seeing evidence that Bell, Nyambe, Travis and JRC have been told to stay home. Am I expecting too much for us to try to go for goal at home.
  24. Holtby status? Or am I in the wrong thread?
  25. And owners that seem to be perfectly happy with that.
