Oooh I like that.
-
And what is it historically Rovers are good at, expect QPR's terrible run to end. Do they have someone who hasn't scored in a coons age.so we can end his woes too.
-
Probably best to rest Downing, bench at most.maybe even let him just sit it out. Course he will have some extra rest due to international break.
-
Can we convert him to a centre forward?
-
Me too, but the real Travis. If Trav is going to play like Evans then Holtby and Johnson for the little extra steel and goal threat Johnson can bring. Travis playing his natural game then yes, Trav and Holtby. I really like Holtby from what I have seen but want to see how he does over 90 mins. Good through balls for AA to run on to. Good crosses for SG or DG. Sounds ok to me. Could bare fruit. Maybe.
-
Probably starting to sound like the Anti-Mercer but I am thinking another game with few chances for us. Also a 2-0 reverse.
-
Yeah we have enough wingers.
-
Mowbary stick with it? Has he ever stuck with anything outside if Bennett? Who BTW I think has been playing quite well for the most part.
-
In Gally I think he will come good. At least he is putting in a shift. Been several instances where he has been a bit too soft or bit too heavy with his first or second touch that had he got it right would have created something. He will get it right I think. Anyone seen anything good.from Samuel in his cameos.cos.I have not. As I have mentioned I would rather have kept SG or DG on. I think we may have another coaches pet in Samuel. Again anyone else?

Personally thought Holtby looked a class above, gives.me.the feeling that something can happen whenever he is on the ball. Thought it odd that both our attackers most likely to get on the end of anything Holtby could get in the box were removed. There was a couple of great balls in that no one got onto. Even a Gally flick or a Graham knock down could have bore fruit. Other "irritants" Dack was crap, fantastic pass for the goal though. Also Travis, I am going to be watching this kid's game now. Time and again he recieved the ball, Travis of old would control the ball turn and sprint forward with the ball. Lately, Mowbary's Travis pulls an Evans control the ball and look for the safe, sideways or backwards pass. It is not his game it will stunt his game and progress but it is clearly what TM wants, it's; crap. Least that is how I see it. Anyone else noticed this?

I don't know, did Mowbary sign Samuel too? I think, personally Chapman is.far.too adventurous, skillfull, moves forward with pace, beats players, js creative, exciting, you know all those things Mowbary doesn't like. Now if he can just learn to go sideways and backwards he'd be into something. Young Travis is getting the message. To be fair though I thought we played OK today. Same ol same ol score then concede but we looked very good last 10 minutes. Unless Gally was knackered I would like to have seen him stay on rather than Samuel. .We got some tasty balls in late in and it confused me. Put on a great.crosser in Holtby and remove your two best forwards for heading. I would like to have seen either DG or SG than Samuel but that's silly ol me. One point out of six at home not gonna get us rocketing up this league though is it. It's just so bloody annoying, just a little focus, concentration, DEFENDING doing the basics and it could have been 6 we just over and over and over keep dropping points from lapses, a recurring theme with this manager.

Good end of the game BUT anyone else think Walton should have stopped their goal. It was not that well hit and he took a week and a half to get down. I thought for sure Forest would nick it. Not good enough and I do not like that Travis has had Mowbary coach the Travis out if him. I don't.think Samuel has.done anything in his two cameos. He has a couple good games for U23's and boom he's back jn. Chapman has seemingly had plenty and is nowhere near he does like his boys our Tony. It's.all just.so bloody infuriating.
-
I see Travis is now a fully vested member of the sideways or back club. Well done Mowbary you've raised us another crab. Young dynamic forward thinking player is converted to a young Evans
-
Just feels like we are going to lose.
-
Something I've been concerned about for sometime now. Funny how Mowbary always seems to drop the young uns. Bit like he doesn't have the gonads to tell the more senior players they were shit so he's dropping them. Easier for him to tell the younger ones. Pussy, bit like his defenders.
-
Seems to a popular option on here, Mowbary just won't do it though.
-
I think we HAVE heading ability we just don't.seem able to track, mark and or challenge for the headers against the danger men. Both headed goals on Saturday looked pretty free to me. Why is there never anyone even putting off their dangermen in the box.
-
This, agree 100% never going to happen though. I think he replaces Armstrong with Samuel and then the rest are the same as Saturday.
-
Agree but not happening. Armstrong and now Samuel ahead of the poor lad in Mowbary world.
-
I wouldn't call Mercer a buffoon
-
Mowbary needs to exhibit a real desire to win himself.
-
I did not think the overall performance was that bad. We did look a bit toothless. Armstrong is beginning to seriously annoy me. Did nit like that Samuel wasted a spot in the team. What the hell has Rothwell done to Mowbary. Would have.liked.to see him replace Armstrong at around 60 minutes. Was he available? No issue here with the offside, as long as jt took to call it we could have been using VAR, which I am beginning to hate BTW, at least the way it's being used.

Just got back from Bikes, Bkues, BBQ in Arkansas I did get to watch the game. Typical Rovers. Starting ro build momentum then lose to a team we.really.should be beating. Thought we were.better team but for all our possession we don't seem to be creating much. Both goals from.clear uncontested headers, will we ever learn.
-
I would hazard a guess 97 out of 100 modern day players would have gone down looking for the penalty. 64 of them would have been rolling around 12 would be clutching their faces and 9 would squeal like a bitch. Great goal from Dack.

That is not his game is it. I noticed it too, seen it on occasion in a few other games. On e of the reasons I was so high.on this kid was as soon as he.got the ball he looked for the forward pass or he would turn and move forward quickly. I bet Mowbary is coaching the lad's natural instincts out of him.and it WILL buggar him up, no doubt in my mind. Kid was doing fine he needs to let him do what comes naturally. All just my opinion of course.
