  1. Well let’s be honest, are you going to give some ressie already here more time than the big money signing you put a target on your head signing? Bit of common sense says your going to do everything you can to justify yourself
  2. Yea shame, he is exactly what we need at the back, will just have to be Bauer then, although I don’t know much about him
  3. Realistic transfers for me matt Clarke 2.5 m karl darlow 3m danny simpson free Marcus Maddison 2m jack colback free jamal Lowe 2.5m with a left back in there too, wouldn’t be too disappointed with an Olsson return. Free Reckom a striker on loan, I like hogan but don’t know villas stance loan id get rid of rodwell, Evans, Smallwood , if any offers for mulgrew or Bennett also that would give us gk darlow/ raya rb simpson/ nyambe cb1 lenihan/ mcgloire cb2 Clarke/ Williams lb olsson/ bell rw Lowe/ armstrong def mid 1 colback/ bennett def mid 2 travis/ Davenport lw Chapman/ Maddison att mid dack/ rothwell striker Hogan/ brereton/ graham good balance with experience/ youth, warriors and artists
  4. Can’t say I agree with your opinion, think mowbray is massively overrated by some of our support, I think he has done an ok job to this point but I don’t think he can take us much further. I was disgusted by the work ethic during some spells last season. In my opinion the squad is generally unfit, hence the amount of late goals conceded. If they were that bothered about changing that stat, extra training would’ve got them fitter. They didn’t, and they were on the beach by February
  5. Didn’t look like we were working that hard when we were on our losing streak to be fair, in fact dack looked like he was strolling about in a lazy Sunday kick around
  6. Will split opinion but I’d take Connor Washington on a free , even to be an impact sub
  7. Whelen, Jesus, is Tony feeling alright? Targets so far completely underwhelming
  8. Think it’s a fair jump that should we faltering towards the lower end of the table with same problems as last year, with fans on his back, he would be a goner
  9. Quite simply , if mowbray doesn’t sort the defence this summer he is a goner. On his head be it if he doesn’t strengthen it
  10. Downing, no thanks. And that’s from somebody who has rated him throughout his career, I just think his position at 35 is a no no. Don’t think he would ever be welcomed as a starter due to his age, Christ we wrote Conway, Graham, mulgrew off due to age and they are all younger than him. Much rather his wages got used on younger and hungrier players. Downing at 32 would be a great signing, at 35 we would be rightly laughed at and beaten by a stick by other fans
  11. Elphick and Bauer would compliment what we had already, Adamoh yes but I’d worry about his wage in a position I don’t see a desperation for, an upgrade i concede although Davenport and Travis have potential to grow. Left back, right back are still major for me. If we can sort them out then we can tackle , gk, striker and wingers. Need a few loans in there, we didn’t use that enough last year when you see the play off final, all the best players were on loan , our only hit was reed
  12. Logged in there to see 80+ new messages in the last hour and thought we must’ve signed somebody but no, no sadly not. Hmmm , think we need some quality not quantity audit. Transfers and links yes- squabbles - go on private
  13. Read back lad, I said he wasn’t the answer earlier , simply that he was better than mulgrew and Williams
  14. Stats don’t lie fella, out goals against column last season wasn’t good enough , goals in the last quarter diabolical
  15. Most of the champ centre backs are better than those two, doesn’t mean we should look to sign them all. Has to be the right fit for the club
  16. Sorry but he is a better defender than mulgrew. Not one I would pursue as age isn’t on his side but let’s not get over protective of our own instead of being sensible
  17. I’d take Gallagher at 5 mill, don’t think that’s a big outlay in current market
  18. Yup I’d take him also. Was glad to see Marriott coming on and making the difference in the play off semi final, criminally underused by derby but talent is there. If only he was our big money striker signing last year, sigh
  19. I’d still take him and make the boundaries known, if he wants a proper career it starts now and don’t mess about
  20. In all seriousness we should be signing him, too assists in division, don’t know why hasn’t been snapped up yet
  21. I’m so against Hanley coming back, do not understand the clamour to get him back here at all, I think he is awful and we wore a mask when we flogged him to Newcastle for 5 mill. Don’t forget also he ran to Newcastle to get away from us, he can jog on as far as I’m concerned
  22. A decent offer and I’m ok with raya going, he feels like he is constantly one for the future without actually ever being reliable in the present, and we have enough long term projects. It would need to be a better replacement than fielding however, or Hart. John ruddy, Westwood , archer and I think we are winning. The overall feeling of opposition fans that iv spoke to re raya is that - your keeper has a mistake in him. If fans can sense that so can the players both our own and opposition. We need a more steady Eddie at the back for calmness when the storms come such as holding leads late on.
  23. Yea I mentioned him weeks ago, think he is a Darren Randolph type. Also Kieran Westwood stalling on a Wednesday contract due to terms offered, we should be on that one too. Ben Amos also free, always thought he looked like a pretty solid keeper, def stature wise he is imposing
  24. Ruben lameiras, Ivan Toney, Marcus Maddison, Jamal Lowe would be a good start from lower leagues and wouldn’t break the bank meaning most of our dolla could be used for sorting out our shaky defence/gk
