Gallagher has been here before and venkys were happy with his contribution that season, for that reason they were happy to stump up cash although they weren’t wanting it at 5 mill, hence the protracted pursuit. I’d argue If mowbray didn’t see him as an option for that position wouldn’t we be after a left back , leaves bell and at a push Williams, both of who struggles at times last season. Hart will go out on loan again I presume. Seen as an experienced head to coach the youngsters through late collapses as seen last season with bell and Armstrong not strong enough to stop crosses coming in late in games. I think if ur expecting him to link up with dack etc your going to be disappointed but hey it’s Blackburn and mowbray so you never know

Not saying he is a cast iron left back, could even be the case that bell is behind him but def signed for his experience of seeing games out and defensive minded. I don’t believe he will have a big assist or goal Talley come the end of his rovers career
