  1. Nope not heard anything. I still expect arabioyo to go through though
  2. Yes, Sinclair is available and we spoke to parties in Glasgow but I believe we wanted a loan to buy whereas Celtic wanted cash. Might change however if as expected Tierney’s deal to arsenal goes through with some hefty coin behind them
  3. Where is Stewart downing starting? Thanks.
  4. Better results? Gallagher has been here before and venkys were happy with his contribution that season, for that reason they were happy to stump up cash although they weren’t wanting it at 5 mill, hence the protracted pursuit. Only finally agreeing to it when it was pay up or he went elsewhere forcing their hand. brereton was picked out by mowbray, And given the sell as he will be a success and earn money back. Those comments that he was forced into mowbray are wide of the mark. They want him playing more for quicker money back. Got a few contacts within the club garnered from jack walker days when I lived next door to his sister near Glasgow and would go to the games and within Ewood with his brother in law. Kept in touch with a few I met over the years.
  5. Not heard of any names lately, if they are working on one it’s being kept very secret. I would hope so but I’m more leaning towards there won’t be. Fingers crossed
  6. Can’t say what exactly has been said as that’s private meetings but I know venkys have been asking why he hasn’t been playing when they invested so heavily. They still believe they will get their money back and more but they want to see better results from big money buys. I don’t think we will see another big buy for the future type. They weren’t overly fond of that deal last season, so being tighter on any deals before signing off, hence the big delays
  7. I will agree to disagree, he has spent heavily on attack but nowhere else across the park, he constantly says there is money but he won’t spend it because he doesn’t feel like he is getting value. To me that’s a reluctant manager to back his own talents in the transfer market. But I do respect your view
  8. He knew that he could buy his way out league one, not so easy in championship and he doubt himself. Believe me he has taken flak from venkys for Ben. Once bitten....
  9. Always believed that mowbray is reluctant to spend as it’s a ready made excuse for his sacking. He can down play expectations with leaving money in the budget to venkys and prolong his own career. He is all for the slow build. Expect 12th next season
  10. Looked at, money to spend if mowbray insists. Getting late in the day for anybody to replace a sale to us. Quite possibly it when city lad comes in. Honestly if fans knew how many were looked at, close, but no cigar, they would be shocked
  11. I’m absolutely not taking anything as gospel from within the club now, was told that a couple of deals would be concluded today and nothing. Even those within the club don’t know why things are taking so long. Sharpe has said the same. As far as I know the city lad is concluded- why the hold up, who knows. And nuttall to accy is done or soon to be.
  12. Lol, you haven’t been on a mowbray train of thought recently have you? This means nothing. What mowbray says and what mowbray does are two completely different things
  13. One in, one out today I believe
  14. Haha who knows! I’d imagine a winger
  15. Yes, loads have came and gone , one of the few that came to light. Scott Sinclair, fraser foster, Martin skrtel are the others I know were looked at. Wages being the biggest hurdle not surprisingly , all dead I believe
  16. Michael hector for me. Jedinak would also do for a year. Or maybe he wants another rodwell experiment, Micah Richards?
  17. Or start the games we have to keep it tight at the start, which mowbray loves
  18. I’d argue If mowbray didn’t see him as an option for that position wouldn’t we be after a left back , leaves bell and at a push Williams, both of who struggles at times last season. Hart will go out on loan again I presume. Seen as an experienced head to coach the youngsters through late collapses as seen last season with bell and Armstrong not strong enough to stop crosses coming in late in games. I think if ur expecting him to link up with dack etc your going to be disappointed but hey it’s Blackburn and mowbray so you never know
  19. Not saying he is a cast iron left back, could even be the case that bell is behind him but def signed for his experience of seeing games out and defensive minded. I don’t believe he will have a big assist or goal Talley come the end of his rovers career
  20. Think his debut told everything you needed to know. Not saying he couldn’t play further forward but he was def signed due to experience of holding onto leads and shoring up that dodgy left side late in games
  21. It’s from folk I speak to in and outwith the club, as I said I thought it was pretty common knowledge. Hence we are still looking at wingers
  22. Came to shore up the left hand side from collapses late in games. Def a defensive signing more than an attacking , which is what he has been for a few seasons. People were asking why he didn’t have an assists or goals last term well it’s because that isn’t his game these days
  23. By legs I mean an injection of pace not that he isn’t fit
