Summer Transfer Window 2019
Bbrovers2288 replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Was just about to say the same, top of the list, Chelsea surely ready to sell this summer -
So jealous of sheff Utd, team play good attacking football, well organised with a clear style and a manager that fights for everything. A team that I could certainly buy into. So far ahead of us it’s frightening we are in the same league

Player of the season 2019
Bbrovers2288 replied to Bigdoggsteel's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
God that’s depressing when there is literally no deserved winners. Dack for me probably but he has fell off a cliff and is capable of so much more -
Graham- great servant but on the decline, I don’t think he will be much kop next season. Brereton- only on the basis that we deserve some return from him dack- peed me off recently, nowhere near as good as he is capable of. How many assists does he have this season? Think he is going. armstrong- showed in bits that he has something that can perhaps be worked on. Il give you armstrong. Reed- not ours and not staying. Travis- performances have dropped sadly but yes worth keeping. Raya- on what basis, has threw away so many points for us. Needs replacing. Like an fm keeper with great stats for loads of things but near 0s for others. Will never be a prem keeper. Rothwell- hmm yea I guess but fans think he is messi when really he hasn’t shown that much. Gives the ball away a lot for me. Chapman- the kind of player we need if fit yes. Question marks remain. I would add lenihan- I’d be disappointed if he left. Id love to see rodwell start a few in midfield, not a centre back. Rest- honestly wouldn’t be arsed if they moved on. Nobody near consistently good enough to progress this team

When is it acceptable to start booing Mowbray?
-
In all honesty name one player that you would definitely like to stay next year? I’m open to selling the lot

Dack has dropped off since pre season when he megged a few Everton players and set up a few goals which he has been severely lacking to do this season- setting up goals that is

Match Thread Rotherham away

Raya can go, in fact give me an offer for any of them and I’d consider it. Yes even dack, wee show pony. Plays when he wants not when we need. Mowbray you can be the first to go -
Mowbray out. Had a good run but he is limited , we deserve faster progression. Miles away from even the playoffs simply by the way that we play, it’s dire

Was one of the few that said sack in the poll, seen it coming a mile off , surprised it’s took the rest of you so long. Time to go Tony, we are going backwards now -
Best Rovers Team Youve Seen
Bbrovers2288 replied to joey_big_nose's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I like berg but I can’t imagine him tearing up and down the wing in the modern game so for me right back would have to be Emerton. i also really liked ripley on the right wing , would be a close call between him and Bentley. wouldnt get in the team but some handy subs to have would be paul warhurst and lars bohenian. We have had several star names that have reached us at the end of their careers so I’m guessing your referring to their actual rovers careers otherwise the likes of fowler, djorkaeff, Salgado, Suker would need to be involved -
Got to say I usually read these blogs, enjoy and agree but I’m disappointed with this one. As somebody who voted for a change it seemed a very veiled attack at those who have a different opinion to his own. I gave my reasons for wanting a change as others did, mowbray had a lot of questions to answer and some simply don’t think he has the answers. I am open for a healthy debate but the name calling and passive aggressive undertones in this blog are overstepping the mark

Won’t be a popular opinion but I’d take Che Adams over dack any day

Summer Transfer Window 2019
Bbrovers2288 replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Joe worrall would be a good start if rangers don’t take option to buy -
Che Adams must wish he could play against our back line every week the amount of gifts we give him. Would love him at rovers but he will be moving to bigger and better than us sadly. Had fears about Mulgrew at the start of the season and it’s now looking like I was right to be with ability diminishing by the week now. Should only be a sub next year to step in when needed. Also rayas chance is just about up for me, is capable of great saves but far too many errors that we just can’t afford. Whole defence needs revamped, I don’t think we have the funds or ability to do that however

Looks like Birmingham were Better team but we bodged up a smash and grab as usual. Dack should be burying that chance at the end

An Evening with Tony Mowbray
Bbrovers2288 replied to JHRover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Have been one of mowbrays biggest critics, more for the brand of football than the results, but the points made by himself were refreshing. I just hope he does as he says as he does have a history of telling us one thing and we lap it up and he does another. He sounds like he pretty much knew where the criticisms would come from and tackled them before they were raised. i do wish someone had raised our fullback situation, who was def leaving in the summer, such as Conway and what was the plan with rodwell. I don’t want him at cb but I’d have him as centre mid. Maybe somebody to question our fitness and late concede record too -
I don’t really agree with this assessment to be honest, I don’t think we are a good side and we start horrifically slow. We scored a few good goals on the break last year, such as dacks v pboro, but this year not so much
-
Karanka is a yes from me, can punt Ben for a second time
-
Hard to argue with that imo. those, like myself, who are swayed or swaying over to the time for a change have very valid points for wanting to. Not like it’s a sudden knee jerk reaction, built up over time. Our performances in a whole since mowbray came haven’t been good enough. Promotion from league 1 doesn’t give you the keys to the city
-
Think your taking a bit of a leap by stating these points were what mowbray was saying in the interview, maybe that’s what you wanted to hear. I certainly would be glad to have him say it but he didn’t actually mention anything that your stating here, all guesswork

Graham has been a great signing for the club, and believe me I do appreciate him but these days he is no longer a top champ striker. He never was the quickest but he is even less mobile these days. And he should’ve buried that chance, went with the wrong foot. Again I appreciate dack, love when he is on song but too often he looks disinterested and tries to beat three men himself before losing the ball. There was an instance today where he just plainly kicked it right out of play. I feel that we are over reliant on him, off song then we struggle. If we have to sell for the good of the team and get 2-3 game changers in off the back of his fee then that’s what I would do. We need to have a stronger all round unit than individuals
-
I’d defo take rowett over Tony. Wagner/ jokanovic/ Hughes would be number 1s tho
-
Sad to say I will be quite happy to see a few of the squad leave so they are no longer a consideration for mowbray, in that camp williams smallwood conway mulgrew evans some thoughts on others graham- doesn’t have another season as starter in him, one more season as a sub. dack- isn’t a prem player, if we get a ridiculous offer in I would sell. Has moments but nowhere near consistent enough. Raya- had a good game today but I’m yet to be wholly convinced, still makes daft mistakes that should be stamped out by now. Wholly to blame for our Birmingham collapse. Brereton and Armstrong need to be taken off wing duties and be allowed to play in their actual position, not fair on them. Overall our team looks helluva small, in the tunnel before the game it looked like men vs a schoolboy team. Need some more monsters brought in. I wasn’t a fan of him at the time but I’d happily take Andy Todd right now

Just as well we didn’t go for the easy 3 points at reading and instead rested our big players for this huge performance today. Phew. What a manager. More and more are starting to see what iv been saying for a long time now.
