  1. I’d agree the team could do with a few players edging towards 30 and over who are ready to walk into the side and have calm heads when late in the game
  2. I’d go as far as to say he is the worst Chilean iv ever seen at Ewood Park, in fact I would rather have a flamingo up top, get more movement
  3. At some point mowbray has to pull up the anchors and just bleeding try to be adventurous. As soon as I saw Evans and Smallwood I knew it would be a hard day. Bear in mind the reason we turned sheff wed so well was having an actual winger in Conway instead of a striker that can’t play there in Armstrong we may have well as raised the white flag, played for a point like derby and West Brom previously and got undone. 1 shot on target in 90 mins at home is questions must be asked time. So frustrating as I genuinely feel with a bit of ambition, a formation that works with the team and more astute in the transfer market and we would’ve had a real good chance at cracking the playoffs this year, as it is we are more concerned with relegation
  4. Iv no issues with Gallagher, thought he was good for us bar a silly moment v Preston that can be expected from a young player, felt sorry for him having to play with us in that woeful season
  5. Got to say if mowbray left I wouldn’t be too disappointed with Coleman and Symons in here. It’s not a glamorous name but it’s solid
  6. My point was the fee, speculating about wages is another topic but the way they have been throwing new contracts about I don’t think that’s currently a major concern, and also we were prepared to pay another fee for freeman that we didn’t get
  7. Il just say simply i expected more from brereton, came with a lot of hype and champ experience, I thought he would be starting games by now and chipping in with a few goals. Yes he hasn’t played much and out of position but until mowbray gives us an answer to that other than a vague he is one for potential than we as fans have every right to be a bit bamboozled by the whole deal. Had he been say just a loan like Palmer or under a mill like samuel yes he probably would be judged less but sadly that transfer fee deserves more results. For instance you can’t tell me that we wouldn’t be better off signing Edwards, Maddison and Toney, three players I imagine you could fit into that one deal. Potentially brereton is worth a catastrophic fee if he starts firing but it’s a huge gamble I didn’t think we should’ve been making. as a side note I really wish he would play Rodwell in midfield instead of defence, 100% upgrade on Smallwood and I don’t really like Rodwell in defence for the same reason as lenihan- rashness and always prone to a pen
  8. Yea it was, he slightly reminds me of fletcher at this point in time, I just want to see more oomph and cockiness in saying to mowbray you will play me and I will score
  9. Thinking about it I think my main issue with brereton is that he doesn’t ooze cockiness or that slightly nasty streak good strikers have. Looks like a nice lad you would take for tea with your gran. If a big boy asks him to give him the ball he would burst into tears. There is a swagger and a it’s your fault I missed that open goal attitude that I like to see I’m just not seeing. Doesn’t look like he is prepared to put himself about in a hard tussle and that concerns me
  10. Was an excellent documentary, I watched 7 in a row, best one iv seen, the ones at the Man City, juve etc are boring, just all glitz and glamour. Still reckon a good few of the players seen could do a job for us, Oviedo, cattermole, mcgeady, Honeyman, Williams. Felt a bit sorry for Steele at the end. Terrible keeper tho. Glad we dodged the boy fletcher we were linked with, looked pretty awful from the clips
  11. Some more from those New York rovers girls would be good ?
  12. Mid table team with a mid table manager which is where I see us for next few seasons with Tony as manager. There will come a point we will need to take a gamble where we either give mowbray a significant war chest to strengthen squad to get rid of the Williams and Smallwoods of the team but allow for a mowbray dropabollock as we have seen with the breretons, gladwins, Hart, Samuel but hoping a pulls a few more dacks out that or we gamble with a change in the manager to pull us up to the upper echos of the league. If venkys do neither it could be a rather frustrating few seasons ahead
  13. I would like to see us make a move for Ivan Toney, looks like a player that could have an impact for us
  14. Too many toon fans as friends for that to be a good draw for me
  15. Superb post, wholly agree
  16. I was at that game, was a sickener that one. Joao strike is better however, that one took a deflection. Mad a side note Baptiste scored that day, our last solid and capable full back to my memory
  17. I was pleased with being proved wrong, genuinely thought Conway was done after he was hooked after 30 mins in was it the Bolton game. I don’t think he will be able to do that every game sadly but excellent today. Downing was good today but it played to his strengths, his issues have always been pace and distribution, iv seen him kick it straight out of play too many times. But again we’ll done today. williams/Smallwood are still terrible and must be upgraded soon. Good that dack and graham turned up. one game doesn’t make the other messes forgettable, I still have question marks on mowbray. What’s disgusting is the gloaters going back over concerns pre kick off and saying haha, get a life, 100% justifiable enjoy the win, could be a long hard December
  18. There was me thinking it might be a nice relaxing sat afternoon
  19. If Conway puts a performance in today then Armstrong shouldn’t play on the wing again
  20. That lineup is just about the final straw for me, if we are poor and slump to a defeat again I’m calling for mowbray to go, sick of this now. Williams, Conway, Smallwood and downing. For the love of god, none of them are good enough
  21. Raya nyambe. Lenihan Mulgrew bennet Reed. Rodwell rothwell. Dack Graham Brereton feel a lot of our problems are due to lumping it up to graham who has nobody around him. Let dack and rothwell run with it into the wings and throw in crosses for our two big strikers. A novel approach granted but it might just work. Bennet at lb until January when it gets sorted with a purchase. It’s not ideal but can’t trust Williams or bell currently
  22. He is considered a bit of a joke figure in Scotland due to his shambolic time at Celtic to be honest, my main concern is I don’t think we play good football. We have controlled one game this season, cup game against who was it, Carlisle? The rest has been even or we are outplayed
