  1. Hmm, Houghton, the football wasn’t great at Brighton and signings etc were hit and miss.
  2. Grim. With the money that has been made available (and spent!), with the quality in the squad, with the academy prospects... this is miserable. Yes he got us promoted but with our squad and budget that was a par expectation, not an achievement. Gutted Huddersfield beat us to the Cowley brothers.
  3. My comments still stand. We could name 2 or 3 players we could live without in the squad with the money used to bring the gate prices down.
  4. Decent performance considering Cardiff have just come down from the Premiership. Defence looking more solid and we know we have goals in the team. Dack working his socks off and the goals will come.
  5. The admission prices are just too high. Max should be £20. In the short-term ending the relentless rises would hit income, but: 1 - Our fan base would stop diminishing, and therefore in the long-term be beneficial. 2 - The short term loss could and should be covered with trimming a little off the fringe squad.
  6. Agreed. Much better imagination needed here and if they cracked it, both sales would increase and the overall match experience would improve, vital if gates are to build. Kidderminster Harriers have the best food offering - a local caterer 50+ years. People actually arrive early to get their lunch. Now ironically they were once reported as the most expensive food outlet, but it doesn’t compare to the offerings photographed above! http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/34539808/meet-the-man-behind-the-most-expensive-pie-in-football
  7. What would you want for them?
  8. Wasn’t that against Villa in the FA Cup. Both sides had weakened sides, and Matt seemed back at his best. Remember leaving Villa Park celebrating his recovery.
  9. If Mowbray was to go, I would like the Lincoln managers - Cowley brothers. Steady, significant improvement (and promotions and Cup runs) year in year. They deserve a crack at our level.
  10. Urgh... So frustrating. Positive: We dominated the majority of the match and if we’d clicked around the box we’d have got a bag full. We will play worse than this and take 3 points. Travis and Johnson looked good. Plenty of other surprise results today, hopefully 1st match upsets, not a trend! Negative: Gallagher an average target man on the wing, yet another panic buy f ok Mowbray. A wobbler for Walton. We still can’t defend for toffee. Lets hope we quickly bounce back, we could and should.
  11. Agreed ?? Some lagging issues but but I am sure they’ll settle down.
  12. Lincoln managers (Cowley) brothers. If not either Hughes or Johnson as they know the club.
  13. We have the budget (and nucleus of a squad) to be competitive - no excuse for the Mowbray misery this season. The Lincoln managers for me please - steady, impressive progress for them.
  14. Well I had made a late decision to watch head to the Madjeski. Positives: impressive bus shuttle service to and from the ground, good food on offer outside the away end, at times some good spells from Rovers with the players showing commitment to chase everything down, good performances from Travis, Rothwell (needs to start) and Armstrong (misses aside). Negatives: we lack concentration - as soon as we got the deserved equaliser the inevitable happened, finishing was way off, BB needs game time to find his feet (loan?), Reading’s score board was slow and the announcer non existent, we won’t play a worse team than Reading so 3 points lost. If we weren’t on the back of 2 defeats you’d probably just feel we were unlucky (which we were), but common theme, something not quite right. That said, at least the players were up for it and if we keep that up, we will win more than we lose.
  15. Can you buy tickets on the gate tonight?
  16. Fantastic performance and result! ⚽️⚽️⚽️ Rodwell (calmness) and Travis (energy) have really helped us step up a level.
  17. Yep. He has fought back and now he needs to build on this run of (good) performances. Potential to be the (surprise) signing of the season. Though with Mulgrew due to return where will he fit?
  18. Well at the very least Mulgrew won’t be back for the next match so he should get another chance.
  19. Agreed, real hunger to drive the game forward. He should keep his place on merit.
  20. Is it not pay as you play?
  21. Good to see the club growing ??
  22. I was surprised to see him starting as a CB, but he looked solid and did his chances of a run of games no harm at all.
  23. Awful news. My favourite memory of him in a Rovers shirt was away at West Brom, 2-2 late in the game, collecting a corner on the edge of the WBA box and dribbling it all the way back to Terry Gennoe!
