Fair play there Beale.

For us against Arsenal.

Last time I was at Watford we won 1-0. Marcus Bent. I had £1 at 66-1 on this and I was a student, so great times. Mind you got some odd looks cheering throw ins in the latter stages of the match! Id take 1-0 again, suspect we are on for a thumping.

Okay… Positives: Clean sheet, didn’t lose to Wigan (as often happens), JRC has really taken his chance, Thomas looked lively, Carter again did well, Pears did well. Negatives: We failed to beat the team at the bottom of the league (again), Vale apparently played in the match (unconfirmed), possession didn’t equal good chances, goals are looking hard to find. To be fair, decent performance which on another night we could and should have won. Someone other than Vale or Gallagher has to be tried in the next match.

Re: Vale. During the Brum replay Elliott Bennett was the co-commentator. He was very positive about Jack, scores loads in training etc. Maybe there is something that will click? Wigan are pants but we always lose to them and any struggling club. 1-2.

How rubbish that this isn't on any form of TV. There are literally tens of us who want to tune in.

What’s happened to lower league (star) players ever being snapped up? Are they not as good as they used to be, or is scouting these divisions ‘below’ scouts these days? Surely there has to be some upcoming stars there?

I hope we put out a decent team - I like a good cup run (not that we have had (m)any of late) plus a boost (if we win) for team.

Ward and Blake - shudder. How many teams did they relegate between them?!

Yes but what can the club do if BBD doesn’t want to sign a new contract? He will have been offered deals, probably best at the club, but the reality is when he was on form much bigger (Spanish) clubs will have been circling - who can offer far more. All the cards are with BBD. Now the goals have dried up we are all in ‘no man’s land’. Rovers get much wrong, but on this, it is just the way the cookie crumbles.

We could do with Andy Cole and Nicky Reid!

We often get a mention on Price of Football - which covers the money side of football clubs.

Maybe Dack as the central striker? No tracking back, just put the ball in the back of the net, or at the very least spare us seeing Gallagher lumbering around. We don’t have a good record against Bristol but it’s our turn to win in our win, lose season.

Well that was a real low point… Look, like @TheRoversReturnsaid if you had offered us this position at the start of the season we would have grabbed it with both hands. The squad is also younger, so in theory will get better, rather than worse on and off the field. As pretty much with every club we need a striker who can take the chances, we should have been ahead at half-time.

Well, well… I feared the worst after 2 pathetic performances, the match being on TV and all the expected promotion prospects winning. A lot of players needed to take their chance and they did! Luck was with us, but chasing everything we got ourselves right into Norwich. Pleased for JRC, looked like he was off but grabbed his chance and Dack getting there. Very pleased 👏🏻

Cor blimey! Really couldn’t have been much worse (I am sure Norwich feel the same!) Will both teams rotate players or try for a decent cup run? In the League Cup we’ve gone for the rotation.

Just one more game - me on Football Manager, too often.

JDT will be keen to make amends, so I suspect a more experienced side will be deployed. The Marbella trip has probably helped Dack, Hirst and Buckley’s case to make the squad, with Dolan pressing for a start.
