  1. This is the crux. The first sign of a bad manager is that they don’t have a style of play. Bowyer was the epitome of this, Coyle was the same.
  2. Raya Reed Lenihan Rodwell Bell Mulgrew Dack Travis Arma Rothwell Graham
  3. Mowbray appointed him! Couldn’t make it up.
  4. Say he makes 5 or 6 signings in the summer that all improve the first XI (very unlikely looking at his record so far), do you think he has the tactical nouse to take us up? We don’t even have a style of play. How many times has he tried to implement his favoured style (3 at the back) and failed miserably because he hasn’t got the ability to pull it off? If we want to go to the next level, we need a new manager. It might be that the new manager would be called a ‘head coach’ with Mowbray working above him. If that was the case, Johnson wouldn’t be a bad shout. Every time I’ve seen the u23s play they look like they have a game plan - something that the first team don’t.
  5. The lads who scored the 2 goals is called Ajayi, he played in midfield and was the best player on the pitch by some distance. I know you like a good day out but do you actually watch the game when you go? I came away thinking that we could do worse than going for Ajayi in the summer as a Smallwood/Evans replacement, you came away thinking that he was a neanderthal centre half who couldn’t play on the deck. A bit embarrassing for someone with such self-proclaimed footballing knowledge.
  6. Like others have touched on, we don’t have a style of play under Mowbray. That is the main sign of a poor manager. As he appointed his own boss, he ain’t getting sacked, so our best hope is if he moved upstairs to a DoF type role and let someone else run the side. The worry with this is that the DoF’s main responsibility is recruitment, and we all know that Mowbray’s record in the transfer market is piss poor.

  8. Callum Wright was playing for Leicester as well.
  9. Same team as last week. Will be a difficult game and I’d take a point. Come on Rovers!!!
  10. Wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘sky sources’ are actually Madon and that Boro forum ITK.
  11. Shock, other Championship clubs are interested in the best Championship striker. We will have to pay an extortionate amount to get him, blowing our wage structure wide open in the process.
  12. You could easily say that we don’t need him as we’ve got Graham, those clubs probably need him more than we do. He’s got pretty much the best scoring record out of any Championship striker in the last few years.
  13. He’s scored 1 in 2 in the Championship, 20k per week is a snip for most of the bigger clubs you mentioned - of course there’d be interest. We’d have to pay way above the odds to get him.
  14. Hilarious that people think we’ll sign Assombalonga on loan until the end of the season and only pay half his wages - most Championship clubs would be in for him if that was the case, and we’d unfortunately have no chance.
  15. Why was he living in Worsely? It’s a shit hole.
  16. Doesn’t exactly sound promising does it?
