Mowbray: Stay or go?
RoversClitheroe replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
You're completely avoiding my point. You only hear what you want to hear. No one is blaming Dack. Everyone rightly so blames Mowbray and his team selection and tactics. Which he had got wrong time and time again. Not playing to our best players style. -
Mowbray: Stay or go?
RoversClitheroe replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
He plays in a team that's setup awfully - as someone who has said played football at a good standard surely you can see that tactically we're awful with no backup or anything? We play hoofball to Graham constantly, how is someone with flair meant to perform well in a team setup so badly. And picking our worst team (Smallwood, Bennett and Evans over Travis , Rothwell and Reed) -
Smallwood signs

He hardly moves and hardly ever tracks his man back, always passes backwards. -
Mowbray: Stay or go?

Any other manager on the form we are in would be sacked by now. Why hasn't Mowbray? He's too safe in his job purely because of an extremely easy promotion. -
Mowbray: Stay or go?

I hope this loyalty is his downfall. Dropping Travis arguably our best midfielder. I am shocked and confused. -

Even during those 20 games everyone could see who the weaklinks were. -
Mowbray: Stay or go?

Also Mowbray appears to want to play 3 at the back. He even picked 3 at the back when we had no fit senior CBs available. What is the logic in that. -
Mowbray: Stay or go?
RoversClitheroe replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Surely after the first 20 games you can tell if players aren't of the appropriate standard. He continued to pick those when he has a chance not to pick them. So he obviously isn't learning. -
Mowbray: Stay or go?

Completely an utterly disagree. Tony should have seen by January they weren't of the quality and made use of the market to make the changes. Instead he continued to pick the awful players and we went downhill. We were completely found out tactically. Mowbray doesn't know his best team still. Watch Brentford away and it's all far too obvious why he shouldn't be manager. -

Mowbray: Stay or go?

For me he's got to go. Too much loyalty to players that aren't of the quality needed - Smallwood, Williams to name but a few. Just outside the playoffs in December and we do nothing. He signs Brereton and never plays him using £5m + on a player when we could have invested it where the weaknesses are. Signs Rothwell - never plays him. By chance selects Travis out of desperation and then appears to claim he deserves the chance when he tried to ship him out on loan. Berates Raya when the back 4 let him down week in week out. He also can't seem to tactically rectify our awful defending. Also says he wants to play on the front foot. All we do is play long ball to Graham and sit deep. Mowbray has to go. -
The mysterious case of Joe Rothwell.

But then Smallwood constantly gets picked when everyone can see he's not of the standard required. Don't know what's worse. -

You seriously think Smallwood is a good signing? You don't rate Bell? You don't rate Davenport yet youve never seen him play. Is this a wind up?? I agree recruitment has been poor mentioning some of the wrong players here. -
They've had 38 games to prove there worth. Each one has failed to prove that bar Nyambe (potentially Bell attacking wise) I'm not buying that 8 games to prove there worth rubbish
-
They did well with there chance they deserve to continue when they are outshining our current crop

Can't believe the quotes I've seen this morning from TM. Buckley and Magloire not traveling with the squad. What sort of a message is he giving to the youngsters? Buckley looked better than both Evans and Smallwood when he came on

Disappointing to see Hardcastle leave on a perm. Definitely has the ability to make it far above national League

Completely disagree. He's looked out of his depth throughout the season. Great guy just not what we need! We need to sell: Smallwood and Williams. Bennett maybe. -
Appears very very slow or he's injured

Taylor Allen from Nuneaton is who we have on trial.
