  1. @1864roveriteplease give a positive spin on the Rovers manager hunt and Waggot?
  2. I said it for years but the second season after promotion he should have been sacked. I said it then and maintained that stance throughout.
  3. What's the obsession with keeping Benson and Lowe? Do we evaluate on performance at the club? High performing teams doesn't spring to mind.
  4. Honestly if I were a new manager just saw we couldn't retain our homegrown captain, at a club that aren't that great I'd be worried. Greggs just come in talked about development of players from within the club. Next thing you know Homegrown talent has gone, and you know what's worse Nyambe will probably be next out the door. What does that say to Gregg and the new manager (if that ever happens). It's absolutely embarrassing - the manager who does eventually join won't be feeling optimistic at the shit show he having to pick up from the incompetent lack of planning from Waggott and Mowbray
  5. Lenihan good captain - absolutely woeful concentration for a CB
  6. Pretty sure @Swansonrecommended Knutsen years ago as a potential manager appointment who would be class! Be class if we got him
  7. Isn't this the "SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD 2022" not the "Captain for Rovers thread"
  8. Literally interviewed in the last 48 hours and offered it yesterday probably? Last minute or what. I'm still excited by this appointment though.
  9. So Greg says it's been a whirlwind 48 hours? Interviewed 48 hours ago and offered the job yesterday?
  10. At least now we can sort out the contract disaster and start making signings.
  11. Can't help but think we're looking at: Dyche Jon Dahl Thomassen Just a hunch
  12. I'm baffled by this comment lol. Ainsworth has worked absolute wonders at Wycombe. Had no budget a next to no academy so has always had to rely on players at the end of there career. No stand out players and turned the team from relegation to promotion on no budget. Granted relegation in the championship, but again no money, shit team. Only relegated due to the dodgy stuff going on with Derby. He plays football that will win matches and in my opinion that's all I care about. With a good team and a little backing I think he'd be the man that COULD get us up. He's a winner.
