  1. So it appears that we can sell sammie and Wharton get raya sell on fee and have a mighty transfer kitty of £4m. Reinvesting 10% of transfer fees is barely even surviving let alone developing a good player trading model
  2. Agree. He shouldn't be exempt from criticism but he's also new enough to have allies in the game. Pasha isn't going to have anyone text in defending him and I can't imagine there will many defending waggot who started slimeballing decades ago with Coles sign on fee.
  3. But in the past we've got money out of the Venkys - Gallagher, Brereton etc. It's a bit of both, you've got the venkys not putting the money and you've got the CEO happy to trundle along and collect his paycheck. A good CEO would have gone to the venkys and said "let us have 30% of it, we'll reinvest it in these players who will help us kick on on the pitch and we'll be able to sell one of them in a couple of seasons for big bucks". A good CEO would quit after not being backed continually - not sit back and collect his pension.
  4. I've always found it odd that people think losing 15-20m per year is financially advantageous.
  5. Makes sense - leak a story, whip the fans up, debunk the rumour and discredit the "trouble makers". I find ITKers fun in the transfer thread, usually very little happening so they brighten the place up a touch but in this case unless they're absolutely solid they'll harm the protest. Be angry but be angry about the right things. If theres a rumour e.g. about players not being payed, it'll come out quick enough in the media by itself.
  6. Spot on. Calm considered moves need to be made else we risk losing the moral high ground (and legal). Football is very emotional so whilst we've all likely fantasised about some very illegal acts, the calculated approach taken by you / the working group is refreshing and absolutely the right thing to do. Our instinct is to approach this like a MMA match but as you say, this is a game of chess and you're playing it well so big thanks from me (for what little it is worth)
  7. As sickening as results and performances have been, it'll be a huge shot in the arm to the protest group.
  8. I'm with Matty but it's only a minor point on a really good day. To win more hearts and minds it would be better to shine the light more on swag and pasha than gestede. No criticism intended, just feedback to consider / ignore as the process is refined. Gestede still deserves criticism and is so far out of his depth but he's a symptom. Swag pasha and venkys are the disease.
  9. The only negatives ive seen(apart from the usual "where would we be without them" crowd of which there is significantly less than I thought) is a few people wondering what gestede has done to deserve being called out. Overall a positive impact I'd say. Let's hope some momentum builds.
  10. "We acknowledge the statement made by certain fan groups and don't give a fuck"
  11. I have doubts about foden in anything other than a pep team.
  12. Bu...bu...but that's how the game is meant to be played. Play it out from the back and pass it around the midfield. That's what we pay to see isn't it? Possession trumps goals
  13. The refuge for those who want to play international football but aren't quite good enough. Should just rename it England B team and be done with it.
  14. Three? You idiot Congratulations though
  15. Good series adolescence. The fact that each episode is a single shot adds to the brilliance of it. I found myself watching it marvelling at the choreography of it all as well as the story line. Especially the second episode, set in a school with hundreds of child extras and done all in a single take is crazy.
  16. It's not outrageous not to give your staff hot meals, I don't know of anyone who gets free food in their job and some work for bigger companies than Man Utd. It's just funny that they can't afford it and shows how desperate times have become.
  17. So now it all slots into place. Venkys keep half an eye on us from a far and see we're in and around top 6 so all is well. Meanwhile Pasha is a money man not a football fan and waggot is being incentivised based on financial performance so no incentive to splash the cash for a promotion push. He may be incentivised with a big bonus for promotion but that's too much of a risk for him. Realistically our only chance is the play offs which is a lottery so why spunk any potential bonus for financial performance based on a 25% shot at the PL?
  18. £3.3m profit but we don't have FFP headroom to invest a little bit of money in a play off push.
  19. A bit of time gets wasted but advantage switches to the other team
  20. Can i just save a few months of pain? After narrowly missing out on the play offs and losing several key players over summer Valerian Ismael was able to guide Rover to 5th place at the start of the January transfer window. Injuries hit and a Rovers failed to invest in the Janaury window causing Ismael to leave to reduce Barrow from relegation. Rovers are once again on the hunt for a new manager. So who do we think the next manager will be?
  21. Peanuts isn't it. Pretty insulting to the staff when you see some of the dross they've spent tens of millions on
  22. Yeah I was sceptical at first but that's got JDT or a close connection written all over it. Saw one tweet saying that Eustace was substituted with Rooney at Birmingham, no native English speaker is saying that. So clearly a foreigner posing as an English man called Jack.
  23. It's mental cos Leicester and Southampton were established premier league teams for a number of seasons. One season out of the top flight and they can't compete and look destined to yo yo for a few seasons. Ipswich with back to back promotions you'd expect to go back down but all three promoted clubs to be relegated? And then how are we meant to compete with leicester and Southampton next season. Systems fucked
  24. Today at the assessment centre the graduates managers are doing a group exercise where they will be assessed on their techical ability and how they work together as a team. The graduates managers will be required to plan their squad and draw up a list of prospective transfers for the summer transfer window. The assessors, part way through the exercise will interrupt the exercise and inform the graduates managers that there is in fact no budget, they need to sell anyone in their current squad with value and make do with Fleck for the next season. Candidates will be assessed based on how they react to this change with the job going to the one who is grateful for the opportunity to work with Fleck and suggests using the remaining £8.99 transfer kitty to buy Steve Waggot a Lamb Bhuna
