Ive said it before but I Would like Brendon Williams from Manchester United. Would be a very good signing at LB. Probably quite cheapish. Far down the pecking order at United.

    can play both fullbacks

I'd want him too but I vaguely remember him being linked with some lower PL teams on loan earlier in the window so I wonder whether he'd come to us. Playing both full backs is ideal though.

On who's say so did they have Farke and Carvahal?? I've seen nothing from the club or anyone else of substance to back up that fantasy.

As for Styles.... Again pure fantasy!

Hirst?? Oh Elliot Jackson's reporting on it as well another great track record lol

I'm of the opinion that no one is truly in the know other than those making the moves at the club.

I could turn on here and throw names around willy nilly.... Doesn't mean it's gospel.

Wake up, grow up and stop being so defensive love x

Seems like you could save yourself some blood pressure by not hanging around a transfer speculation thread

Something very solid there to build on for a new manager with new ideas and some backing. Hasn't materialised.

So which is it? The squad has been decimated with 12 outgoings or there is a solid foundation? Both seem contradictory to me

Half the players you name as 'additions' to replace the outgoings were already here last season. Vale, Markanday, Carter etc.

If you can list magloire and Davenport as an outgoing I can have Markanday as an incoming.

It looks like we're at the 'Dack, Hedges and Markanday are like new signings' stage with some

How is that not a factor to be considered?  Last seasons squad didn't have Dack or Marakanday available. This seasons squad does.

  4. 12 out 3 in is misleading.

    We lost:

    JP Van Hecke

    Ryan Nyambe

    Darragh Lenihan

    Ryan Giles

    Zeefuik

    Brad Johnson

    Joe Rothwell

    Reda Khadra

    That's 8 players

    These players left

Jacob Davenport - never played even when the squad was stretched beyond beleif

Ian Poveda - injured all season

    Harry Chapman - never played

Tyler Magloire - never played and I've seen people say they'd rather play with 10

James Brown - one game in a dead rubber match

That's 5 players that have left with no negative impact on squad strength imo

We've  brought in, or now have as options

    Brittan

    Smod

    Morton

    Carter

    Phillips

    Wharton

    Garret

    Vale

    Markanday

That's more like 8 out 8 / 9 in. 3 or 4 quality additions over the next week and I'd say we've plugged the gaps. I didn't expect much more from the window there was a lot to do to make this a JDT squad. When he arrived the squad had loads of gaps to fill, I think it was a big ask to fill those gaps AND upgrade the players we did have to the high pressing high energy type player. Too much to do in one window especially when we've got a new structure starting from a standing start several weeks behind the other clubs.

I know we'd all like it done in one window but maybe it might take more than one window? TM and Co have poisoned words such as 'project' and 'journey' and I'm not advocating another 5 year build to nothing but there's surely some middle ground between that and expecting an instant overhaul and promotion within 12 months. TM left the squad in a state, I was resigned (but not happy about) us having a midtable finish. Anything else would be a bonus.

Trousering? Aka taking money out of the business?

Why on earth would they be putting 8/10m a season in via share capital then?

This is the bit that doesn't tally up for me with all the consoiracy theories that fly around. Venkys as far as I'm concerned are incompetent and irresponsible. None of it is deliberate, they're not trying to run the club like a shit show, they just can't run a football club. Quite what they'd get out of deliberately mismanaging the club I didn't know especially as it costs them 10s of millions each year
