It's one of those automated pre screening questions. Like when you apply online for a job and it asks if you have a C on GCSE maths and if you answer no its an automatic rejection. Instead it's "Are you connected in any way to middlesbrough" no "sorry try another club"

The bit about it being plugged in reminded me of when I worked in an organisation full of middle aged women and was therefore due to being under 30,🙄🤔🤔🤔 by default first line IT support to help the main IT guy out. I had the reception ring up one morning to complain that her computer just wasn't switching on and it was completely dead. I asked if it was plugged in and was met by quite an angry response and called a cheeky little ****. So I got up, walked down stairs "SEE LOOK, ITS PLUGGED IN TO THAT EXTENSION LEAD!!!!" I then calmly walked to the end of the extension lead, unplugged the hoover from the wall and plugged the extension lead back in and switched her computer on and walked out. She was a bit sheepish after that 🤣

Speaking of tech support I've noticed when ever I phone IT now they always do or get me to do gpupdate force. Is this because they're self conscious about "switching it off and on again" becoming a bit of a joke. I'm fairly sure gpupdate doesn't apply to half the issues I've had.
