I've got images of him salivating at the prospect of turning nou camp into a shopping centre "Barca can stadium share with one of the Madrids and we can move Lidl into the North Stand"

Was thinking the same Dreams. As soon as you have ESL appearance you are unable to play in the regular league. You'd hope it would put a lot of people off going there because if the move doesn't work out you either play for Arsenal or no one at all. Either way your career is over.
There needs to be a hard stance on this and if it sets football back 30 years that might not be the worst thing in the world.

I hope, globally, fans oppose this. An international campaign is needed
From what I've seen across social media, I can't see much if any support for this but I don't think it'll be down to the fans. I think everyone in football including players and managers need to speak out against this.

I really hope they do but I don't think they will.

I don't see how this can end well now. If it goes ahead, the bodies have to call their bluff and follow through with their threats but if we go down that path I think we'll end up with two footballs like we have two darts and two rugbys. If it goes ahead and threats aren't followed through, more money and power sits with those clubs again.
If it doesn't go ahead the only reason it won't go ahead is because all these clubs have been given massive concessions in terms or money and power which they already have.
It'll be interesting to see what players and managers say about it. They tried to get ole last night but he hid behind the "I haven't seen it, we were preparing for this game". However they've announced it when there's Premier league games through the week. It'll be interesting to see what the likes of Klopp say tonight when the emotion is still running high.

Whether it goes ahead or not I think for a lot of people a line has been crossed. The game has been slowly ruined by money in the last 10-15 years but this takes it too far.

The absolute cheek of Arsenal signing up to it!!! Did all the other clubs let them in so that they had someone to finish bottom each year?

People say give him credit when they win because he gets stick when they lose. These days yes but thats not always been the case. Normally i'd try and balance it by saying fair play to the manager
I don't think you should give the manager anything for just one game in isolation. If we won 10 on the trot and then lost I'd give the manager no stick. If we lost 10 on the trot and then won one that wouldn't change my opinion. I'm afraid 2 wins in 16 isn't enough to turn me around like it seems to be for the Facebook crew.

I know what you mean, I don't see why you can't have two sections on bbc sport - mens football and women's football.

First time ever in my time as a rovers fan that I wasn't disappointed when we went a goal down. Not even in kean times did I feel like this. We're not going down so any points gained are just credit in the bank for TM.
However even if / when Tony goes are we realistically going to get anyone better? Tony is one of the better manager in the venky era so I dread to think of the dross we'll go through before we'll get an acceptable manager. It may be the copious amounts of alcohol I've had tonight however I'm starting to think along the same lines as those who think administration and come out the other side clean could be the best way to go. Someone else said it elsewhere - take TM out but the cancer remains at the club.

My theory on all the money spent on data analytics. I think we just have an excel spreadsheet with two rows for each game
Number of subs =Randbetween(1,5)
Timing of subs = Randbetween(45,90)

I've only seen seen headline that it's been shelved. Do we know who shelved it?
My optimistic side hoped that one of the venkys has put a stop to it because there's an imminent change of management (Tony and Waggot)

I was thinking about the numbness that TM has created at the club. I'm no longer excited when we win because I know its meaningless and that we won't build on it and push on. I'm actually left wondering what TM would have to do to get some feeling back in the club.
If he stays in the summer and by some miracle we win the first 10 games with solid performances, wouldn't we all just be waiting for another 1 in 15 run of form? I had some hope at the start of this season and that was crushed. I really struggle to see what TM can do to win the fans back now.

Love corporate BS I have a competition with my colleague at our monthly department wide meeting where we all have to give an update on our work to see how many we can get in - synergies, segeway, across the piste, square the circle, risk appetite, onboarding, manage expectations (i.e. the work won't be done on time / to the right quality), touch base, horizon scanning.
Apart from these monthly meetings I've always avoided corporate BS through fear of sounding like someone off the apprentice.

I don’t agre wit( those who slag Gally and Brereton signings. Both are good players who have had their reputations destroyed by being played out of position by this inept manager.
Both get a clean slate for me when a new manager comes in. I sigh when I see gally starting but that's how he is used by the manager and the damage the manager has done to him.

This is a bad run even compared to Tony's usual bad runs. Normally it turns around after 10 games.

People who think me checking they're over 18 at the doorstep/checkout is a personal slight.
It's actually so I don't get caught out and face £10,000 fine, the sack, and 6 months in prison.
If you don't have ID (a driving licence) on you having driven to the store, you are literally a moron. It may not be illegal, but it saves a LOT of hassle.
On that note, don't let your teenage child put alcohol on the checkout belt, I will assume you're buying for them and, without ID, neither of you are leaving with any alcohol.
It does always feel like it goes too far though sometimes, like ages ago I go in on my way home from work, full office gear, full beard and a few grey hairs if you look close enough. Do a 90 quid food shop in which there is a small red wine (enough for a lasagne) and I get asked for ID. It reminds me of that inbetweeners scene in the off licence.

I’ve become a proper pro at this during the last year. Get bags open and ready to accept goods. When they start scanning, get them all bagged up quickly, pay, then do one. I don’t drive to Aldi, as it’s so close to my house, so I don’t have the luxury of packing at the car....
You sir are either someone who grinds my gears, or served by someone who grinds my gears. It shouldn't be physically possible to pack your bags at the till, Aldi staff used to be demi-gods with level 99 swipe speed.
At my local Aldi the checkout assistant was having a chat with the customer whilst scanning, I almost went and gave him an application form for Sainsburys.

I thought that was a game , beaten them a couple of times , packed* before the total amount came up on the card machine.
*Thrown in the bags
That's acceptable.
However if the customer wins that's a sign that staff standards have slipped and leads nicely to another bug bear that Aldi isn't what it used to be.
How it should work is that the checkout assistant should be throwing it through at such a speed that only two thirds of the items are actually scanning and the customer should be literally sweeping items into their trolley just to keep up. By the time the amount to pay comes up the customer should be on the floor in a pool of their own sweat.

You're absolutely right. The only way that this won't got ahead is if there is some kind of player / manager revolut and it needs to be the big name glamour players.
I can see players like Jordan Henderson not agreeing with it and potentially speaking out against it but it needs your A-listers to not want to play in it. Imagine if it was shunned by the likes of Pep. You'd hope that enough of these players are not THAT far removed from what the game means and what the fans want.
