People who think me checking they're over 18 at the doorstep/checkout is a personal slight.
It's actually so I don't get caught out and face £10,000 fine, the sack, and 6 months in prison.
If you don't have ID (a driving licence) on you having driven to the store, you are literally a moron. It may not be illegal, but it saves a LOT of hassle.
On that note, don't let your teenage child put alcohol on the checkout belt, I will assume you're buying for them and, without ID, neither of you are leaving with any alcohol.
It does always feel like it goes too far though sometimes, like ages ago I go in on my way home from work, full office gear, full beard and a few grey hairs if you look close enough. Do a 90 quid food shop in which there is a small red wine (enough for a lasagne) and I get asked for ID. It reminds me of that inbetweeners scene in the off licence.

I’ve become a proper pro at this during the last year. Get bags open and ready to accept goods. When they start scanning, get them all bagged up quickly, pay, then do one. I don’t drive to Aldi, as it’s so close to my house, so I don’t have the luxury of packing at the car....
You sir are either someone who grinds my gears, or served by someone who grinds my gears. It shouldn't be physically possible to pack your bags at the till, Aldi staff used to be demi-gods with level 99 swipe speed.
At my local Aldi the checkout assistant was having a chat with the customer whilst scanning, I almost went and gave him an application form for Sainsburys.

I thought that was a game , beaten them a couple of times , packed* before the total amount came up on the card machine.
*Thrown in the bags
That's acceptable.
However if the customer wins that's a sign that staff standards have slipped and leads nicely to another bug bear that Aldi isn't what it used to be.
How it should work is that the checkout assistant should be throwing it through at such a speed that only two thirds of the items are actually scanning and the customer should be literally sweeping items into their trolley just to keep up. By the time the amount to pay comes up the customer should be on the floor in a pool of their own sweat.

People who swap "lend" and "borrow"
"Can I lend a pen"
"That pen I borrowed you, can I have it back?"
-
People in aldi who try and pack their bags at the checkout.

I’m sure the Mowbray Pom poms will be out as soon we so much as take the lead again. We’d lost 6 and drawn one before beating millwall and on the LET comments section of one article I read some dumb dumb asking where all the Mowbray out brigade were. Naturally they arrived but still.
* I do think for some people their decisions are purely based on what’s happened during the previous 90 mins.
It's insufferable isn't it because after a win if you said "I still want Mowbray out" you get met with "we've just won, what more can he do, there's no pleasing some people."

Running with the ball / running at someone he's class but I have no expectation that he'll do anything with it. He either over thinks and holds onto it far too long or fluffs a shot or cross.
Few years off yet but when his pace goes he's finished

Does anyone actually get excited when Sterling is on the ball?
-
"This tournament has come too early for this squad" has been said before every tournament since 2014 then two years later some players have dropped off and some more talent has emerged.
So I'm hoping that only having a 1 year gap between euros and World Cup may give us half a chance of keeping the same group of players together and firing.

I don't think lingard will be going
He's one of Southgate favourites. If he's keeps it up at West ham he'll be in the squad.

I only saw the highlights for last night's game. As a marker to see where England are it is pointless.
I'm glad that Southgate played 4 at the back though. Hopefully he sticks to it.
Here's my guess for his game 1 Euro's starting 11;
Pickford
Walker Stones Maguire Chilwell
Rice
Henderson Grealish
Rashford Sterling
Kane
Of that 11 maybe Grealish could lose out to Foden or Mount. I think he'll stick with Pickford barring any disasters and Walker will keep his right back spot for one last tournament.
Hungary 3-3 Poland was a good result for England too.
Walkers not had a lot of game time for England recently, I think he's more likely to start trippier. He said he knows his 11 for Croatia and tournament experience is a key which points toward trippier or walker but walker has been in and out the squad.
Obviously Henderson depends on fitness and I think grealish won't start, doesn't seem to be the go to choice for Southgate.
Lingard will start if he's still fit and firing by then.

Their goalkeeper has made a few decent saves this match.

Can't believe they were playing out from the back to start with

Probably an unpopular opinion but sterling is shite.

I am worried this season is going to let me down. Last season was probably the climax for me and they could have ended it slightly differently rounding off the whole show so part of me is worried that we could be getting into the dragging it out stage.
That said, yesterday's episode was great and still some loose ends to tie off that didn't get cleared up at the end of the last series.

It reminds me of Breaking Bad in the way that it’s told from the POV of a drug dealer and although he’s fundamentally the villain, as the viewer, you’re on his side....
I love those kind of programmes 'You' and 'Dexter' I really liked but you find yourself rooting for the bad guys.

No booking for a foul on gallagher as he was breaking because the ref realised that as it was Gallagher it wasnt going to lead to a chance.

This is a bad run even compared to Tony's usual bad runs. Normally it turns around after 10 games.
